Chapter 3: Shannon Langdon

We arrived home and I went straight to my room with Alex.
"Mommy, Andrew was being a meanie."
"Andrew was just having a bad day, don't worry." I hugged her.
Sounds like I'm excusing him but I'm not, Alex still loves him so I won't tell her he was actually being rude.
"Oh, I like Shannon." She squished my face. "He gave me free ice cream and he is nice." She said excited.
"Yeah, he is." I smiled at her.

"Someone is happy." I look at my sister.
"I am." I smiled.
"Did you finally tell Krystal that you like her."
"No, but I finally had the courage to talk to her today." I said.
"It's a start." Serena replied.
"Maybe."
"I have to go to work, talk to you later." She waved and left.
If only Krystal knew how much I like her.

Such a sweet guy, and very handsome. there was a beep on my phone, it was a text from an unknown number.

Hi, not to sound rude but, who are you? -Me.

Wait, how did you get my number? -Me.
I have my ways."-Shannon.
Should I be worried?"-Me.
No, just wanted to know if you were busy tomorrow? -Shannon.
I'm free.-Me.
Since we have a project due in a week, I was wondering if you wanted to work on it tomorrow. -Shannon.
Yeah, I'm excited for that one, it involves photography. Me.
Me too, I'll pick you up tomorrow.-Shannon.
Okay, goodnight.-Me.
Goodnight. -Shannon.
The next day I went to take a shower and got ready for Shannon to pick me up. I was sitting on the couch playing with Alex. The doorbell rang and I went to open it.
"Hey Shannon." I smiled.
"Hey Krystal." He returned the smile.
"Shannon." We heard Alex squealed as she ran towards him and hugged his leg.
"Hi cutie."
"Hi." She smiled at him.
"Alright princess, leave his leg." We turned to see dad.
Dad picked her up and she just pinched his cheeks. "I'm, Elias."
"I'm Shannon, nice to meet you sir."
"Likewise."
"We should get going." I gave Alex a kiss. Dad and Shannon said bye and he gave Alex a hug then we left.
We went to a beautiful forest.
"Never been here, it's really pretty." I said as I admired the view.
"Yeah she is." He looked at me.
"What?"
"Nature, is really really pretty." He said trying not to blush.
"Oh, indeed it is." I smiled. "Where should we start?"
"How about over there." He pointed at a waterfall. I nodded and we headed over there. We started taking a lot of pictures. Photography is my passion, so I was actually enjoying this project. And I could tell he was also enjoying this.
After a while we decided to rest so we sat down on the grass. "It's really nice being here, I've always enjoyed nature." He mentioned while admiring the view.
"Me too, it's very peaceful."
I started to take a few more pictures and he was looking at me. "Shit." I turned to see him rubbing his eye.
"You ok?"
"Not really, my eyelash got inside my contact."
"Hold on, let me help." I carefully started to remove the contact and the eyelash, then I removed the other contact.
"Better?" I asked as our faces were inches from each other.
"Much." He answered while looking into my eyes. a few second later we broke from our gaze. After whatever it was that happened a few seconds ago, he took out his regular glasses, I like how he looks in them.
After our time at the forest, He took me to my house. When I entered I found Briana, Mya and Johanna with Alex. she was pinching Bri's cheeks.
"Alex, you are going to leave Bri without cheeks." I said and they all just chuckled.
"How was your date with Shannon?" I saw Kyle coming out of the kitchen with a sandwich.
"It wasn't a date. We were just working on a project." I said nonchalant. "And I'm still with Andrew."
"Ugh, captain douche is very annoying." He rolled his eyes.
"What's douche." Alex asked.
"Go to a dictionary and you will find a picture of Andrew, that's the meaning of that word." Johanna answered her.
"You four are too much for my daughter."
"Just saying the truth, Krys you are not in love with him anymore. And it's becoming toxic." Maya said to me.
"I guess, I need to think about it." I said as they nodded.
"I take it you all will stay for dinner." Mom asked and they all nodded.
"Mrs Lockhart, let me help you with dinner." Kyle told her while walking to the kitchen with mom and she just chuckled.
Monday morning came, and I know exactly what I have to do. I finally arrived at school and saw Andrew flirting with Rose. Of all people her.
"Can we talk."
"Sure." He gave me a kiss.
We went just five minutes away from school. "Andrew, I've been thinking, and the best thing I can do right now, is break up with you."
"You're kidding, you can't leave me." He said angry.
"Yes I can, I will not stay with someone who flirts with every girl, and I don't love you anymore."
"Fine, good luck finding someone who will love you and that piece of s**t you have for a daughter. You are nothing but a dirty person and no one will ever want to be with someone who was raped."
Tears started to fall, I can't believe he said that.
"Bad choice of words." Shannon punched Andrew. He got up and started to punch Shannon.
Shannon punch Andrew one more time and said "Never in your life say that again. She was a victim and you take that as a joke." Shannon was fuming.
"Whatever, you can have that piece of trash." With that said he left.
"Thank you." I whispered as tears were falling. I was so hurt by Andrew's words. He pulled me into a hug and let me cried. He started to rub my back trying to calm me.
I can't believe he expressed that way about us, I hate him so much.
"I'm here for you."
