Chapter 4: New Student

After crying, I pulled way and saw his lips with blood and his nose.

"Look how he left your face." I sighed as I grabbed his face.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." He smiled.

We had a little break before going back to class, I told my friends what happened.

"That asswipe." Bri was fuming.

"Wait till I have my hands on him." Johanna said.

"We should tie a rock on his leg and throw him to the ocean." Maya suggested.

"Damn, isn't that extreme." We turned to see a guy.

"And you are?" Kyle asked.

"Sebastian Navarro." He smirked while looking at Maya.

He was definitely not from here, he had a thick accent

"Where are you from?" I asked.

"Spain." He replied.

"Exchange year?" Bri asked.

"Nah, my dad got a promotion which required him moving here." 

"What year are you? Maya asked.

"Senior year, mi amor." He smiled at her.

"Then you will be with us." I said.

"Guess I am." 

"How about you show me around, Hermosa -beautiful." He said to Maya and she grabbed his arm and said "my pleasure." With that they both left.

"So, how are things going with Shannon?" Kyle asked.

"I can't say they're romantic, we just met a few days ago. but as friends it's going well." I answered him.

"Invite him to hang out with us." Johanna told me.

"I did invite him today to join us for lunch, but since his nose and lips were bloody, he went home. He said he will join us for lunch tomorrow."

"And please don't ask him extreme questions, he is really shy." I said to them.

"We never ask extreme questions." Kyle gasped.

"Riight." I rolled my eyes.

"I need my churros." Bri sighed.

"After school, sugar lips." He kissed her cheek.

"Hmph." She pouted.

"Awe, no pouting." he said to her.

"I can pout if I want." She said before leaving.

"Come give your boyfriend a hug." He yelled while following her.

"Those two never change." I chuckled.

After school I went home and was greeted like always by Alex.

"I missed you." She hugged me.

"I missed you more." I hugged her back and tears were falling remembering what he said about us. I didn't care about what he said to me, it just hurts what he said about Alex. She doesn't deserve to be called names.

"No crying, I love you." She wiped my tears.

"I love you more." I picked her up and went to my room with her. I fell asleep and she stayed there watching the little Mermaid.

Around seven pm I woke up and Alex was gone, then I heard a familiar voice. So I made my way to the living room. I walked to see Shannon giving Alex a piggy ride. I couldn't help but chuckle.

I waved at him and he smiled. "Alright, baby girl, let Shannon breathe." I grabbed her and sat with her on the couch.

"How are you feeling?"He asked while sitting on the couch too.

"I'm okay, how about you?" 

"I'm okay too." He smiled.

"Dinner is ready." Mom said to us and Alex ran to the kitchen.

"Come on." I said to him.

"I don't want to bother, I just came to check on you." He said.

"Nonsense, you're staying for dinner and that's final." I grinned and he let out a chuckle.

Next day after school we all went to the park after picking Alex.

"Alex sure likes Shannon." Maya said tous.

"Yeah, she likes him, especially since he gave her free ice cream." I chuckled.

Shannon was giving her a piggy ride and she was laughing. I just smiled at them.

"Just like her mommy, she likes Shannon." Bri added.

"What?" 

"I'm new and even I can tell you like him, stop being in denial, mujer -woman." Sebastian replied.

"Maya, control your man." I rolled my eyes.

"He is not my man." 

"Not yet." He whispered in her ear and she blushed.

"Shannon would be a great father figure for her." Bri said smiling.

"I don't want Alex to get attached to him, you saw what happened with Andrew." I sighed.

"Mommy, I need to pee." 

"Come on." I picked her up and we left.

Shannon went to sit with the others.

"So, when will you tell Krystal that you like her." Johanna asked him.

"What?" 

"Oh come on, are you people always in denial? Just tell her you like her, give her a kiss to remember you and boom." Sebastian said to Shannon.

"Yeah what he said." Kyle Said while pointing at Sebastian.

"You two, give the guy a break. And they just met a few days, they still need to navigate through their feelings." Maya said to them.

"First, this is new to me, yes I like her but I've never had a girlfriend, so I'm taking my time. She just got out of a bad relationship, what she needs right now is a friend." He said to the guys leaving them speechless.

"Well said." Bri said to Shannon.

I was coming out of the bathroom with Alex when we bumped into Andrew.

"Andrew!" Alex smiled while grabbing his hand.

He looked at her and immediately pulled it away and said "never touch me." with that said he left.

Ugh, how could he be so rude towards a kid. I went to pick her up and she was already crying. "Come here, don't cry over him." I wiped her tears.

"I don't like him." She hugged me as tears were falling. I also cried cause she was hurting.

We made our way to the group and they noticed Alex crying. "What happened?" Shannon asked worried.

"Andrew happened." I sighed as I wiped Alex tears. I told them what happened, and let's just say they want to bury him alive.

"He is a douche, and deserves a punch." Sebastian shrugged.

"No, karma will bite him hard one day." I said to them.

"Too much drama wore her out." Shannon told me while looking at Alex who was already sleeping.

"Think it's time for all of us to head home." Johanna said.

"I'll take you home." Shannon offered, I just nodded.

"I bet you anything those two will end up marrying." Kyle said to them.

"Plus have you seen how cute Shannon is with Alex." Bri added.

"Those three would make a cute family." Johanna chimed in

We arrived home and I put Alex down on her bed. I went to the  living room where Shannon was.

"Gotta love drama." I sighed.

He grabbed my face and said "You and Alex deserve the best."

"Thank you." I pulled him into a hug.

After our hug I pulled away and asked "wanna watch a movie?" He nodded. We went to my room.

We were watching White chick's, that movie never gets boring, I could watch it everyday.

We were laughing like two idiots. I was getting up when I stepped into one of Alex doll causing me to fall back to bed and I landed on Shannon. We were inches from each others faces when.
