It Had To Be You

Chapter 6: Payback

After hanging out with everyone, I took Shannon back to the school so he could get his car. We said bye and I went home.

"Hey, baby girl." I picked her up. "I missed you."

"I missed you too, mommy." She hugged me back. "Where's Shannon?"

"He is home, he said he would come later to say hi to you." Her face lit up. Like I said before, she has formed a bond with Shannon, and she gets so excited when she sees him.

A while later he came and was playing with Alex, she drained his energy.

"Alex sure has a lot of energy." He collapsed on the couch.  I couldn't help but chuckle.

He looked at me and said, "My mom was afraid that my dad would leave her once he found out about her being pregnant with me. He said it wasn't her fault, she was a victim. He never once made any rude comments towards me, he treats like his own kid, I love my parents and my sister."

"Does she know, about you being bullied?" I asked.

"Yeah, I told her that I would take care of it. But I lied, I would always come up with an excuse." He sighed.

"Shannon, you are not alone anymore, You have us." I smiled as I rested my head on his shoulder as I interlaced our fingers.

The next day, the boys made their way to pay some assholes a visit.

"You think it's fun to bully people!" Sebastian yelled.

"Well, yeah. Shannon is pathetic." Andrew smirked. Kyle punched him so hard his nose started to bleed.

"You will pay for this." He screamed.

"You b***h, I've wanted to get my hands on you since we met you." Briana said as she punched Rose. They all ran away.

"That was some show." I said to them.

"Yeah it was." Johanna chimed in while eating popcorn.

"Where did you get that?" Shannon asked confused.

"I knew there was gonna be a fight, so I came prepared." She chuckled.

"That was fun." Kyle smirked.

"Who doesn't love a good fight." Sebas replied.

"I need some churros, this fight made me hungry." Bri sighed.

"We can all grab some churros at lunch." I suggested.

"I won't make it." Bri said while fake fainting in Kyle's Arms.

"Drama queen." Johanna Threw popcorn at her. We all just laughed 

I was on the last class before lunch when I saw my mom on the door I went to see her and found her with Alex.

"What's going on?" 

"Emergency at work and your father is really busy and they need me."

"Guess you are staying today at school with me." I said to Alex, she just giggled.

"I'm sorry." Mom said to me.

"Don't worry mom, it will be ok." I smiled, she gave us a hug and then left.

As I entered the class everyone stared at me.

"Hi people." Alex waved at them and they all went in awe mode.

I turned to the teacher and said, "She is well behaved, she won't make any distractions. Everyone was busy, and I don't trust strangers to take care of her."

"It's ok, go take your seat, Miss Lockhart.! She smiled.

I made my way to my desk and put Alex in the middle of us. "Hey princess." Shannon whispered.

"Hey Shannon." She whispered back and smiled.

Lunch time came everyone was having a good time, especially Briana she was devouring her churros. That girl needs help.

"Christian, come sit with us." Johanna said and he came and sat down next to her.

"Hi everyone." He waved at us.

"Hi." We all said in unison.

"She is really beautiful." Christian said while looking at Alex.

"Thank you." I replied.

"What's your name?" He asked Alex.

"Alexandra." She smiled. as he shook her little hand.

He turned to Johanna and said "You are also beautiful." She blushed.

"Finally you decide to join our table." Kyle said to him.

"Yeah, the football team always wants me to sit with them, but I got bored of their conversations. So thanks for saving me." He answered.

"Well, you will never get bored with us." Sebastian grinned.

Just when things are going great there's always someone who loves to ruin it. And it came in the form of Rose

"Oops, silly me." She said pouring juice all over Alex.

Alex started to cry, and that was it for me, no one f*****g messes with my daughter.

"Girls can you take Alex out of here." They nodded and took her.

"You crossed the line." I said angry, my blood was boiling.

"So scared." She said and I punched her.

"That's for my daughter. This is for bullying my cousin and Shannon." I threw another punch. "And this is because I really hate you and I wish you get eaten by a bear." I started to punch her and Shannon pulled me away from her.

"Stay away from me." I glared at her and walked away with the guys.

I went to grab Alex who had calmed. "Thanks for taking care of her." I sighed. "She crossed the line messing with Alex." I said trying not to cry. When someone messes with her it breaks me to pieces.

"I have to go home and clean Alex, tell the teacher I will be back in an hour." I grabbed Alex and left.

"Can you make an excuse for me?" Shannon asked and they nodded.

"If there's two people who belong together, it's them." Christian Told them.

"So, any ideas for Rose?" Bri said with an evil grin.

"Oh, that puta will pay." Johanna smirked.
