TW: Emotional abuse by parent
We got into Louisville, KY late last night. By the time Tessa got the rental car and we found a hotel it was four in the morning. After the three of us caught up on some sleep, we set out to find Jade’s mother. Jade said Mindi Bradshaw will be one of two places: some country club where she played cards with her friends, or at the mansion Jade has lived at for the last few years.
As we drove around, Jade pointed out to me the different sites like the Ohio River, a brief glance of the Kentucky Derby Museum, and Churchill Downs. Jade’s mother and stepdad make it a point every May to be in the front row of Churchill Downs betting on the races and hold parties the week of the Derby.
