Jenna was a police officer and female, yes, you heard right, FEMALE. This of cause meant that she had to take crap from prejudgemental assholes with sticks up their asses. Assholes that think women are weak and fragile creatures that belong behind a desk or at home. Fuckers. Luckily Jenna made it a point to completely ignore people like that, or if they got too annoying, show them just how wrong they were; which normally ended with them having to pick their sorry asses up from the floor.

Today was supposed to be normal day with some everyday field work. Some dumbass people who had failed to pay their bills for 2 months, now it was Jenna's job to find and talk to them.

*sigh*

It had been looking too be an ordinary day without anything interesting happening. That's at least what Jenna had thought this morning before all hell broke loose and fate decided to s**t on her.

Now she was caught in a house with a psychotic child and a snappy demon-cat-thing hot on her heels trying to survive.

well s**t.

The Demon Child
Hello, Alkira here! Just a little disclaimer before you read ;3 This is my first book ever, and English is my second language so there will probably be bad grammar, spelling mistakes, and idiotic sentence structure. Despite all of that I hope you will enjoy my book. I knocked on the door again for what to me seemed like the 100th time. "POLICE! OPEN THE DOOR!" As expected, there was no response from within the house what so ever. On the contrary, it was almost unnatural how quiet it was. I mean, you should think there would at least be some sounds, like crickets or the chirping of birds; but the only sound here was of the cold breeze rustling through the knee-high grass. I rummaged through my pocket until I felt the smooth surface of metal against my fingers. I pulled out my beloved lock picking toll, kneeled in front of the door and got started on the look. If anyone from the sanction asked; I totally heard a woman scream from somewhere inside the house. of course, as an officer, I really had no choice but to go in and investigate. There sounded a loud *CLICK * and the door opened. I felt a small smirk creep it's way on to my face as I got back on my feet and walked in. Taking in my surroundings, I almost got sick to my stomach. Whoever it was that had lived here, had accomplished the task of turning the house into a VERY bad version of the 1980s. Old lady style of course. Still a little sick to my stomach I started to dig around in some papers I found in the living room, where I found an extremely unsettling note. The note ended with the words; ALREADY HALF HERE. ALREADY HALF HERE. All you will ever see is this thin paper. Surface. "What the hec-"my line of thought was abruptly cut off by the chilling sound of laughter. "HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHAHAHA!" Chills went down my spine at the chilling and hysterical sound. I spun around to find the source of the voice and my eyes widened in shock. In the entrance of the living room, a little boy stood laughing. Probably no more than 8 years old, and with jet black hair that partly covered his onyx eyes. But as he laughed, his smile got wider and wider until it almost went from one ear to the other. His face had had the same grimace as the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland. As the boy laughed, the room seemed to darken, and the air got thicker and thicker with the foul stench of rot. It came to a point where it got hard to breathe, not to mention stop my self from puking. Smoke like shadows started to erupt everywhere, and right there beside the little boy a huge amount of the smoke like substance started to gather. "ALREADY HALF HERE. ALREADY HALF HERE. DO YOU SEE IT YET?" the boy said "HA HA HA HA HA HAHAHA!" The boy laughed frantically. Little by little a smoke-like substance that had gathered by the boy solidified and started to take a horrifying shape. Its body resembled that of a human, but at the same time, it did not look like a human at all. It was down on all fours, like a big cat ready to hunt and had something in-between paws and hands. It was like paws, but it elongated like fingers and had long razor-sharp claws. Its long tail was lashing attentively behind it as it focused its sight on me. Like the boy, it had the crazed Cheshire cat grimace, but with the difference that it had hundreds of long needle-like teeth. I could not breathe. I felt the panic growing inside me, causing my belly to be clenched from the terror and freezing me to the spot. It took a step forward, with all the stealth and readiness to kill of a giant feline. I desperately tried to force air down into my lungs to get my body moving, as everything inside me screamed to get the f**k away from here ASAP. I swiftly glanced to the window for an escape but instantly felt a sharp and agonizing pain erupt from my leg. The moment I had looked away it attacked. Its eyes were glowing with triumphing up at me from the place it was currently sinking its teeth into my thigh. I screamed.
