The next morning I woke up to the smell of fried eggs and plantain, I knew the only person who could do that was Racheal. She was an early morning person and also loved to cook. It was a Sunday morning after all and I was very sure with Racheal here, I am definitely going to church. I took my bth quickly and prepared for church. I put on a red organza top with ankara skirt, red heels and red purse. I packed my hair into a bun, and went down. "Good morning" I greeted Racheal who was busy trying to serve breakfast. "Morning, I'm glad you didn't wait for me to come drag you to church, you look gooood ,meanwhile eat quickly so that we do not miss the praises". We ate our food quickly and drove in my car to church. On getting there we see marie with her family. We knew we were going to see them since we all attend the same church. Her children ran to us and hugged us and we greeted she and her husband. After the greeting we entered the church and sat in the fourth roll. The service was wonderful and I kept asking myself why I wasn't serious with church. After church Marie and her family went home after we decided that we three were going out in the evening. Me and Racheal got home and I help her pack her bags from her trip into my car since she was going back home today. I took my cloth and shoes for the outing in the evening, since from Rachel's house we were going to pass there. We drove to Racheals house and her gateman opened the gate on seeing it was us. I helped Racheal unpack and later we made lunch. We sat down to eat the jollof rice Racheal and I prepared, then her fiance called her, so she had to pick the call." Ted sends his regards". "Oh you should have given me the phone to talk to him". "He was in a hurry to somewhere that's why" "oh okay, when next I see him I will greet him". After the meal we later had some ice cream. By 6:30pm we started preparing because we agreed to meet by 7pm. After we were done we took drove to the restaurant we were suppose to meet. It was one of the classic restaurants in Lagos Nigeria. On getting there we saw marie already seated sipping wine. Marie was someone who was always early to places. "Hi girls" she stood up to hug us. "Have u been here for a while?". Oh not very long though, so you ladies shouldn't feel guilty for keeping me here. I laughed hard for a while and then Racheal said to her "you wish". We all laughed about it and each of us ordered what we wanted. Racheal ordered for chicken pepper soup, I ordered for the same thing since we already had something to eat at Racheal's place and we're still full, while marie ordered for fried rice, salad and chicken meat. We dug right into our food since the food here was so delicious. " Oh I almost forgot, Clara you haven't told me about the new man in your life". Marie asked excitedly. "Well there's nothing much to tell about him apart from the fact that he is handsome, tall, wealthy and is a Christian". "Okayy... So you mean to say you do not know anything again about him apart from the fact that he is rich, handsome, tall and is a Christian according to you?" Marie asked. "No I do of course". "Really" marie asked. "Yes" I boldly said". "Okay let me ask you some questions about him then". Racheal said "Go ahead I answered" "what's his full name?. "David dipo" I answered. "Date of birth?", "do you know any of his relatives?",what did he study in school?, what church does he attend?. "Hey slow down I am not in an interrogation room Racheal" I said, I was getting so pissed already but that was the truth, I didn't know much about David. Anytime I try to ask him certain questions about himself he just finds a way to avoid those questions. "Look we're just looking out for you alright. Marie said.
