So many years without a man was starting to take a toll on single mom Ruby and when the gigolo working in her club made advances, she gave in. It would have been blissful for her if only she wasn't ten years older than him, Ruby thought. The relationship was just getting started before Ruby's baby daddy moved into town to start a new life.

Rich Widow
A knock came on my office door again and I felt like burying my head under the desk. It's been a week since my uncle went on a vacation, leaving his fast-growing nightclub into my care. Every evening, it's like the whole department is waiting in line to hear from me. I simply had to learn multi-tasking the hard way. I received whoever was outside the door with a loud voice; "Come in!" My assistant of just one week entered with her chest heaving. "What's wrong this time?" I asked knowing something must be wrong for her not to be stylishly cat-walking toward my desk. "It's a gigolo issue, ma'am. The rich widow we all know is crying and complaining about her ordeal last night. She claims the gigolo she hired refused to sleep with her and she's not happy about that." I blinked a few more times like it would help me hear better. Who in their right mind would turn down the richest Widow in this town? And why's the lady making a big deal out of this? "Is it Malcolm? That arrogant jerk." I muttered remembering how rude he speaks to people he feels are beneath him. He's currently the most popular male worker we have in the nightclub. He's likely the one to pull this stupid stunt. "No, it's Kaz." I went PokerFace. "Who?" "Kaz." She repeated before letting out a smirk. "He's a daredevil. Stubborn and young." "I don't know who this Kaz is," I replied racking my brain. "My uncle must have been the one to hire him because I don't remember interviewing a Kaz. Please, bring him in. I'd like to have a word with him concerning this issue." "Right away, ma'am." After rubbing my eyeballs for a good minute, I returned to the work lying on my desk. One more hour and I'll be done with the paperwork. I'll then decide if I should hang around the nightclub or just go home. Maybe my assistant didn't shut the door before leaving because when I looked up, I was shocked to see someone already in the office with me. He was a few steps into the office and had stopped with his fists clenched. He has a deceiving look because I can't tell exactly how old he was. But I mostly suspected he physically appeared older than his real age. And the tenseness in his brown eyeballs made me feel how stubborn and strong-willed he was. I could feel it. His hair was long and the front bunch was packed at the back of his head. A tall frame with his n*****s pointing through his shirt, I was having a view of the thick shape. "You called for me." He said breaking into my thoughts, unapologetically. "Are you Kaz?" I asked still frightened by how he came into the office unnoticed. "The one and only." He drew closer and sat on the chair directly facing mine. He crossed his legs slightly before gripping my desk board like it made him feel safe. "The rich widow reported you to us — she wants you...Why can't you succumb to her desires? Did she do anything bad to you?" "I don't want her." "Why? What's your reason?" I pressed since he's not being generous with words. "My reason is only for me to know. I don't want to work for her." I sighed with my hand massaging my temple. And just then, I noticed his fingers clench harder onto the board like he didn't want to talk about this. Well, unfortunately, he's not at a therapy session so he has to talk. "It's okay if you don't want to share what your deal is for turning her down. I just want to beg you to accept her. Even if it's just once so she can get over you." I pleaded. I didn't mind doing anything for our customers. I can't think of a better way to retain them and still keep the peace. "f*****g her again will only make things worse for her. So, my answer is no and it'll never change. Not until I say so." He retorted. "This doesn't make any sense. At least tell us what she did so we can understand why you don't want her anymore." I softly spoke to him like I was working for some customer service agent. "Tell her she should get another ho'." He said putting his leg down. "Are we done here? I have a client in five minutes." I scoffed. What an arrogant prick. "This attitude is going to get you fired, Kaz." "I earn more than your entire salary in a year. You can't fire me, Ruby. Even your uncle needs me here. The best you can do is to let me be. That rich widow is not seeing this pretty boy naked in her room again and that's final." Different emotions washed through me like a cold shower and I didn't know whether I should laugh or cry in exhaustion. The fact that he's boldly talking down on me... I was confused that he called my name like he knows who I was. This is literally our first encounter, bro. "People like her made you rich. So unless she did something horrible to you, you shouldn't treat her that way." I gritted. "You're painfully boring, ma'am. This conversation ended ages ago. I have to go now." He was on his feet as I glared at him. My rage was awoken and the desk was just the only barrier for me to tear him apart with my fingernails. "You can go but we aren't done talking about this," I argued getting up on my feet. "You'll have to book me to see me again then but I promise you won't be the same by the time we are done." He threw it on his shoulder as he exit the office. I rolled my eyes. I'll not book him for anything. I started wondering what happened between him and the rich widow that he has refused to be with her again. The rich woman has always been a big giver to her gigolos. Hasn't he heard about the goodies he could get from her If he stuck around? And she badly wants him. My assistant entered again after a quick knock. "Where you able to convince him?" I shook my head no. "I wasn't. I don't know what the hell is his problem." "I don't know what to tell the widow. How do I face her?" I chuckled. "Let them be. This case is obviously between the both of them." "Thanks, ma'am." She left the office after shutting the door. I got up from my chair and wandered to the back of my office. At this point, I was now at the broad glass window observing what was going on outside the front of the nightclub. A red car was outside and I happened to know the b***h that owns it. As if on cue, Kaz stepped out of the building and entered the red car. So she even came to pick her little s*x toy up? Never thought she'd still be doing this. My palms squeezed as they drove off beneath the cloudy sky.
