Twins

~Lilly~ "Dad?" I asked again, trying to get some response out of him. "Screaming girls in my room?" Lyal looked up at me with a soft sigh, "Well, I mean you always wanted a sister, didn't you?" "I have a sister," I sighed, reminding him about his youngest daughter. "Remember the little girl who looks a lot like mom. That annoying little ten-year-old that runs around the castle and goes missing every time you turn around." "Oh yeah," My father sighed softly, standing from his desk with mom in his arms. I watched in amazement as he laid her carefully on the couch behind his desk to sleep. "I keep forgetting that she's actually mine because of how she runs away." "From the stories I've heard from uncle Jonah you were exactly like that," I grumbled, crossing my arms in annoyance. "LILLY!" He snapped at me. "WHAT!" I snapped back, "Am I not allowed to talk about the things that you did as a child because it reminds you of how much I cannot do! You were a w***e when you were younger father! For goddess sake, you used to sleep with uncle Jonah! I cannot even go to the kitchen without a line of security guards behind me." "I almost lost you once. I will not risk that again!" Lyal growled at me. "I was a newborn!" I snapped at him. "I was in eutero dammit! My ten-year-old sister has seen more of the world than me because she disobeys you! I've done everything you ever asked of me! Do I not deserve a little bit of your trust to go and spread my wings?" "I will keep you safe no matter what!" "Even if it means depriving me of everything," I whimpered softly, looking at him. "Tell me what I have not given you?!?" He snapped, growing more and more upset. Frowning, I looked at him dead in the eyes, "Material things mean nothing to me, why don't you get that? I... I want to meet the people of this village. For goddess sake, I am 25 and I have never been on a date. I've had my wolf for 10 years and you've never let me shift into her! My wolf has never run free and I've never complained about it! I have lived my life confined to this floor and all I get for it is you ignoring me, mothers lectures of "its okay you know he loves you" and a never ending supply of boredom." Whiping the fresh tears off my face I gasped for air. "Most of all I hate you for making me cry! How am I supposed to rule this kingdom when I don't even know what the front door of this palace looks like?" For once in my life, I saw my father standing before me stunned. "Lilly..." "Don't," I hissed at him, turning away. "I had my melt down and now I'm going to go and deal with the banshees in my closet and compose myself. After all, isn't that what the royals are meant to do?" With that, I walked out of the office not wanting to deal with him anymore. Stepping into the hall, I tried to settle my nerves but I was having issues regulating my breathing. "Take this," a voice called out to me seconds before I grabbed a beer bottle from hitting my face. "What the hell?" I frowned, examining the bottle with purple liquid in it. "All I heard was girly shrieks coming from your room, and you yelling in dad's office." My brother chuckled as he stood next to me. "Thanks Devin," I smiled softly downing the drink. "You don't know how much I needed this." "You always need one after you and dad have a one on one conversation," My other brother walked up with a matching beer bottle. "You know sometimes having twin brothers is not a bad thing," I laughed, taking the beer from Tyrece. "Especially when you both come to the rescue at the same time." "Two is better than one," both of them said in unison before breaking out in laughter. "Well, if that's the case, do you two want to go de-premadana my closet?" "Oh shoot, the uncles are calling us..." They both ran for the hills. "You are all cowards!" I shouted after them. "Why does no one seem to love me!" Groaning, I pushed off of the wall and walked towards the screaming in my closet. 'Zion you there?' I called for my wolf. 'I was sleeping,' my wolf grumbled in my mind. I laughed softly, picturing her trying to cover her ears with her paws. 'I swear those two girls shrieking should be used as a torture device!' 'I thought you were sleeping,' I smirked, catching her lie quickly. 'I was trying! Why couldn't you just put up a wall and make it to where I couldn't hear them! Why are you making me be present?' 'Everyone else abandoned me! I don't want to deal with them alone and you cannot run from me.' 'I hate you,' Zion whined as I entered my room. Downside number one to having a suite... screeches echo! 'I liked your idea of locking the door and running away. Why can we not do that?' 'Because my brothers would be sad if I killed their best friends,' I sighed softly. Devin and Tyrece were attached to Avery and Allison from the day they were born. They loved the girls and looked up to them as twin goals. The girls mothered them and adored them as if they were their own brothers. I think the girls were a little sad that they never had any other siblings, but they took on all of the cousins as if they were their siblings, so they never complained. 'Here we go,' I warned my wolf so she could try and cover her ears. "Avery look at this outfit!" Allison held up one of the girlie outfits that my mother had bought me that was bright yellow. I swear my mother was determined to turn me into a girlie girl even though I had never shown any signs of wanting to be one! I lived in black and usually had a hoodie on to hide my body! Why she insisted on half of my closet looking like a mermaid and unicorn threw up on it I'll never understand. "Allison, we cannot make Lilly wear that! She'd hurl before we left the room!" At least Avery understood me."Now this will get someone to pick her up," Avery held up a burgundy tight dress that I had bought myself online a few months ago. It was a dark color and hugged my body tight. I always thought it would be fun to wear them to a bar. I don't know why I bought it considering I'm a prisoner here! "If we put her in that with her boobies on full display then her dad will never let her leave!" Allison huffed, throwing dress after dress behind her back as she looked through the mythical girlie dresses. "Guys aren't going to hit on her if she doesn't show a little boobie!" "What if she likes girls?" "Girls like boobies too! They are like pillows!" Avery heckled as she pulled out an outfit I had forgotten I owned. It was a little black dress that fell right above my knees. The top had a solid tank top line with mesh sleeves over it that went to my wrists. It was a conservative dress while showing a lot of skin through the mesh. "Now I think we could get away with this dress. The back of the dress is entirely mesh, but if we put a jacket on her when we leave, then her dad will never know!" "I love it! Can we use this one!" Allison held up a god awful hot pink sequent jacket. "What the hell is that, Allison! That looks like a prep school girl skinned a mermaid and made a jacket out of it." "Its eccentric," Allison whined. "Its hideous," I sighed, alerting them to my presence. Both girls jumped with a squeal as they turned to look at me, "I hope you know that you are both going to have to clean up this closet." "Lilly!" They squealed as they jumped over the mountain of clothes... not even exaggerating... to get to me. "We missed you so much," they giggled happily, telling me all about the last year of their lives without taking a breath. I swear I don't think they needed air to breathe! "Can one of you stop to tell me why you are destroying my room and making me want to put an icepick through my ears?" "Oh yeah!" Allison clapped excitedly, "We are taking you out tonight." "Um... did you all come to the wrong place. You know my father never allows me to leave this floor. The one time we snuck to the kitchen when we were twelve he grounded me for a month and all we were doing was getting icecream!" "He cannot stop all of us," Avery smirked crossing her arms in front of her chest. "You two are loud but you are not an army," I sighed softly beginning to clean up my closet. One habit that I hated was the need to keep my room cleaned. When you had nothing to do you developed habits you hate. "No but we are," a voice I hadn't heard in years sounded behind me. "Please tell me I'm not going crazy," I whimpered turning around. "Cam."
