Reunion

"Cam," I nearly broke into tears as I saw my best friend enter my room. Quickly, I ran to him and threw my arms around him. "What are you doing here?"

"We heard about your training starting soon, so I thought it was a good chance to finally break you out of here."

"You know my father won't let me," I whimpered softly, taking in his scent.

"He cannot stop all of us," A growl sounded behind Cam.

Sighing softly, I pulled away from Cam to smile at his mate, "Hello Terra. How are you doing?"

"You are touching my mate," She huffed, looking at me. I smiled, leaning up to kiss Cam's cheek. "Lilly!"

Laughing happily, I left Cam and hugged Terra, kissing her cheek the same way I had kissed Cam's. "I'm sorry, was I ignoring you for too long?"

"I like attention too," She whined, hugging me back. Terra acted like she was territorial with Cam, and she was, but never to the family. She knew that Angela and I were his best friends and we were part of the package that was the Moonlight Alpha. Terra and Cam had been together since the moment she was born and no one ever had a question about who his Luna would be.

Terra got her wolf 2 years ago when she turned 18 and it was confirmed in an instant that Cam was her, Mate and counterpart. No one raised an eye at the eleven year age difference because they had been united for their entire lives. By the time she was 19 they were married and living together. I was 25 and had yet to find my mate. Not that it would help me if I did. "How have you been, Terra?"

"Tired," She said softly with a blush on her cheeks.

Frowning, I looked at Cam, who was beaming with pride as he looked at his wife. "I SOOO call god mother!" I snapped at him. "Why didnt' you call me and tell me?" I asked, smacking him.

"We found out two days ago," he laughed, holding up his hands in surrender. "We already knew we were coming and I wanted to tell you in person."

Sighing, I pouted, "I will let you off this time but I wanna know everything," I beamed, hugging Terra again. "I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks," Terra giggled, happily hugging me back.

"Where is Thea?" I asked, looking for her twin. Terra was beautiful at 5ft tall. Unlike many wolves, she was a little on the heavier side, but it looked amazing on her. Her eyes were golden with specks of brown and her hair was dirty blonde. Her twin sister, on the other hand, was 6ft 5 with ice-white hair and bright blue eyes. She closer resembled Elsa from frozen than her sister.

"She had classes today so she will be here in a few hours," Terra smiled softly as Cam moved behind her to hold her close. Terra had chosen not to go to university in favor of being a young stay-at-home mom. Thea, on the other hand, was going after her criminal justice degree in hopes of becoming head warrior in the Moonlight pack like her father's.

"Jealous," I muttered in annoyance, putting up the last of the twins avalanche.

"Still taking online courses?" Cam asked, sitting down on the ottoman that sat in the middle of my closet. Terra giggled as Cam pulled her onto his lap, holding her close. I swear he had the same habits as his father when it came to keeping his mate close. Ever since they were young, they have been attached at the hip. It wasn't until Terra turned 18 and got her wolf that Cam even dared to look at her like that.

"Don't say that too loud. Dad still doesn't know." I sighed, leaning against the closet wall.

"Wait... you did something your father said not to do!" Avery gasped, "who are you?"

"Funny," I huffed at her sticking out my tonge. "He expects me to be crowd queen without knowing anything about our kingdom or the outside world. Is it not irresponsible to run a country when you know nothing about it! I'm just taking some courses in politics and history. I don't understand why he insists on me being confined to these walls."

"He's trying to protect you," Allison said softly, her face growing dark.

"I know that Al. I do. But I don't even remember much about the dungeon and I was never touched... I've never given him a reason to not trust me to do the most basic of things. I mean, outside of this group of people I don't know anyone! I haven't seen Aunt Lilly and uncle Adrian in years and Calypso and Alexander have been MIA ever since their 9th child was born two years ago. I mean Allison and Avery, you are 3 years older than me and you have lived a life. You've been able to shift and search for your mates. You all have friends outside of this group... I only have you guys." Frowning, I looked at the floor, hating that I was so angry at my life, but knowing that I could be honest with them.

"If you remembered that place you would understand a little more," Avery whispered, hugging her sister. "If it wasn't for us sticking together, I would have been dead long before we were rescued. I don't blame you for being upset, Lilly... but having lived through what we lived through... I understand why your dad is so protective."

"There is protective and overbearing. I just wish he could accept me for who I am and not keep me as a bird in a cage." I looked up at my friends and smiled softly, "Guys, I've had Zion for 10 years now... I got her when I was 15 and she's never been allowed to run. I've never even shifted. I just... I want to be allowed to enjoy the full moon, or go to the courtyard."

"He still hasn't let you shift!" Cam roared, letting his alpha aura fill the room. Terra whimpered, covering her nose. Even though she was his mate, his scent was difficult for her to handle.

"Relax, alpha cub, before your mate hurls," I groaned, rolling my eyes at my best friend. "Cam, I just want to vent, not have you go all alpha on the Lycan king. I don't feel like watching my father beat you up today, okay? Because then your mom gets involved, which gets uncle Carlos involved, and then Uncle Jonah starts crying, which upsets your dad! I don't feel like dealing with the pentagon of annoyance tonight!"

"Why do they all have to be so involved with one another," Cam grumbled as he reined in his scent and nuzzled his wife in apology.

"That's what happens when you sleep with each other," I smirked evily. "Once the hormones get involved, the connection is inevitable. Be glad you've been mated since the day Terra was born."

"I would never!" Cam looked offended.

"Relax, that's not what I meant, oh virgin, until marriage," Avery laughed, throwing a hanger at him.

"Don't throw a hanger at him," Allison scolded her. "We go up and hit him with it. Don't risk hurting Terra and the baby." Allison smiled, handing Avery another hanger.

"And here I was thinking that Avery was the evil one," Nadelle laughed, joining us.

"Nadie," I smiled, hugging Cam's younger sister.

"We gotta get you out of here before you start talking like Allison," Nadelle laughed, giving me a tight hug. "You look good though, girl."

"When you have nothing to do but clean and work out, your body kind of naturally looks good," I smiled up at my friend. Nadelle had her father's height at 6ft 2, but looked like her mother otherwise. Her hair was such a bright red that it was almost orange and her eyes were bright green. "Is everyone going to appear in my closet?"

"I mean it is pretty big, but I think we should move into your suite to hang out. Allison has that evil look in her eye," Nadelle laughed as Allison threw a hanger at her.

"How come you can through hangers and I can't!" Avery whined.

"Easy, there is no baby in that direction!?!" Allison smiled sweetly at her twin.

"You don't know that," Nadella smirked, winking as she turned around to head into my suite.

"Excuse you?" Cam growled as him and Terra chased after her.

I had a feeling that the quiet world I had been surrounded in was about to explode whether my father liked it or not. I was ready to start living life, but was life ready to have me there? I was 25 and about to start my training. I hadn't met my mate yet, but I knew that the chances of me finding my mate once I was out of my room was great. I don't want to be tied down, but the more people that invaded my world the more excited I got about the prospect of finding a family for myself. I was ready to leave my cage and fly free.
