Anna's POV Ever wondered what it feels like to be 16, guess what? It feels like nothing, I really don't get why I have to throw a party, I hate parties seriously. "I want you to be social," I swear I am tired of my aunt always saying this I mean I am not being bullied in school, the school is free of bullies, homophobes, racists, everyone lives a normal life, NYC high school is a school to be in. "Anna get ready, your party is starting in 2 hours," My aunt said to me snapping me out of my thought, I didn't even realize when she got in my room. "Aunttt!" I groaned. "Do I really have to do this?" "Do you want want to be known as the girl who cancelled her 16th birthday party at the last minute?" she raised a brow at me. "Fine but why do all this? You treat me like a princess even when I am not your daughter," I said in a low tone to her. "Yes you are not my daughter but don't everyone deserves a chance at love and a happy family?" Aunt said with a very sincere look, then she left the room. "Okay! Let me go get set for the party," I got of from bed and headed to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. I picked a simple outfit suitable for the beach. Yeah! I was having a beach party, believe me or not, the water was my first love. I put on grey beach shorts and a white beach top with white vans. I was 20 minutes late for the party, I could hear music blasting from the beach, my aunt was stinking rich that she had her own beach. "So everybody we are here gathered to celebrate my niece birthday who is also my adopted daughter, Anna Powers please come forward and say a few words to your guests," my aunt said to me. I came forth and collected the mic from my aunt. "Uh Hey guys, ah this is really awkward, well thanks guys for coming to my party, have fun," I awkwardly said. The party was fun, I was chit chatting with some friends from my class, some were playing spin the bottles, some surfing, the party was fun and then there was cake. It was 9:30 already, unfortunately a storm came and the party had to move back inside but in the pool room. The party lasted till 11:45pm, my aunt prepared well for this cause almost everyone that came from school slept over. There was literally enough rooms for everyone. Fortunately for all of us, next day was a Saturday. I went upstairs to my room, sat on my bed quietly thinking about my unfortunately happy life with one question on my head. "Where was I, throughout the 10 years of my life that I wasn't here?" This question hunted me since I gained consciousness and found my self here on this very same day 6 years ago. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard sound of knocks downstairs at the entrance door. "Who the hell knocks at the door at this time of a stormy night?" I mentally yelled to myself. I quickly got up from my bed and rushed downstairs not without my sword I got as a gift for my 15 I went towards the door, but hid behind it and slowly opened it, two strange people, a boy and girl about my age walked in who were barely wet from the storm, I jumped at them with the sword and poked it right at the guys neck but not to hard so it wouldn't pierce him. "Hey! Hey, we mean no harm please!" The boy said with a flash of fear in his eyes. "What brings you here?" I asked still not puting the sword down. "Damn it, put the sword down," the girl said clearly in an annoyed tone. "Oh Anna, don't kill your cousins," My Aunt said from behind startling me. "My Cousins?"
