CHAPTER 50
Brad’s courage nearly failed him when he pulled into Susannah’s and her new husband’s driveway, but his body was surging with too much adrenaline to think of backing out now. There was nowhere to go from here but forward.
His conversation with his dad had been somewhat one-sided and certainly not the cathartic, heartfelt reunion they’d probably need if they wanted to improve their relationship permanently, but it had changed Brad’s perspective. He’d often looked down at his father as a simple man, but that conversation in the barn had yanked Brad out of his pity-party and given him the courage to do what he should have done all the way back in Costa Rica.
