THEY WERE HAVING breakfast one morning, and Brody’s grandfather surprised them totally when he said, “Brian, you’re spending most of your time here with Brody, so I think it would be good for both of you if you moved in with him.”
“Oh, Pop,” Brody said, “I think that’s the best idea I’ve heard for a long time. What do you say, Brian?”
“Are you sure, Mr. Murphy?” Brian said. “I wouldn’t want to be in anyone’s way or anything.”
“It’s a big house, lad,” Mr. Murphy said. “You won’t be in anyone’s way. Besides, having you around makes Brody happy, and when he’s happy, so am I.”
“I’d want to, no insist on paying my share of the overhead,” Brian said..
