ISIS The things people say about you, doesn't define you. That's what Isis had heard all her life from her mother. Her mother had a life that revolved around Isis and Isis's father. But as easy as it looked, as harder it was. The day Isis's dad was taken away for robbery and thrown into jail, everything changed. No one smiled, no one craved for even a little bit of happiness. It was all just a bleak feeling of nothingness. People talked behind their back. They shamed Isis's father but Isis had nothing to reply back with. She had nothing she could defend her father with. "Don't let them get to you," her mother used to say and close her eyes. As if to shut down all of the voices, the unfamiliar faces and tunes. She left the world on it's own and shut her eyes tight. She left Isis behind
