The whispers have turned into amusement and curiosity. She felt it all around her. People looking back at her but not as a school bully, she was being seen in a new light.
It felt as if everything she had ever done to the students being one of Sandra's minions was being forgiven just because she was with an acclaimed detective agency. She could feel the spotlight on her and the different gazes. Of jealousy, anger, indifference and even appraisal.
But for one thing, she knew, she didn't care for all of it now, after all these days. She didn't want people to forget what she had done just because she was being acknowledged. Meraki was a fallen school bully, and that was inevitable.
