Episode 1: The Blue Moon Rejection
The Lycan King's Stolen Luna The scent of ozone and pine filled the air, heavy with the promise of a storm. I stood in the center of the Great Hall, my knees trembling beneath my faded cotton dress. Hundreds of eyes bored into me. None of them held pity. They only held disgust. "Elena Vance," a voice boomed, vibrating with absolute Alpha authority. I looked up, my chest aching. Standing on the raised dais was Alpha Killian—my fated mate. He looked magnificent, his shoulders broad and his dark eyes flashing with power. But those eyes, which used to look at me with secret warmth, were cold as ice. Beside him stood Tanya, the pack Beta’s daughter. She wore a silk gown, a smug, vicious smirk plastered across her face. "You stand accused of high treason against the Bloodmoon Pack," Killian declared, his voice echoing off the stone walls. "You stole the sacred Moonstone Relic and attempted to sell it to our rival pack. Do you deny this?" "I didn't do it, Killian!" My voice cracked, tears finally spilling over my cheeks. "I swear to the Moon Goddess, I was set up! I’ve never even been inside the relic vault!" "Silence!" Killian roared. The sheer force of his Alpha aura slammed into me, forcing me to drop to my knees. The stone floor bit into my skin. "The evidence was found in your cabin, Elena," Tanya spoken up, her voice a fake, whimpering purr. "Just admit it. You wanted to ruin us. You were never fit to be our future Luna anyway. You’re just a weak, worthless Omega." The crowd murmured in agreement. Whispers of "traitor" and "trash" rippled through the hall. I looked at Killian, begging him with my eyes to use our mate bond. If he just looked deeper, he would feel my absolute innocence through our souls. But he refused to look. He had already made his choice. Killian stepped forward, his expression hardening into stone. He drew a deep breath, and the air in the room grew suffocatingly thin. "I, Alpha Killian of the Bloodmoon Pack," he bellowed, each word striking my heart like a physical dagger, "hereby reject you, Elena Vance, as my fated mate and future Luna. I sever the bond." Snap. A violent, blinding pain exploded in my chest. It felt as if a physical string attached to my heart had been violently ripped out by the roots. I gasped for air, collapsing onto my hands, dry-heaving as my inner wolf let out a tragic, echoing wail of agony inside my mind. The bond was dead. Tanya stepped closer to Killian, wrapping her arm possessively around his waist. He didn't pull away. "Furthermore," Killian said, looking down at me as if I were a bug beneath his boot. "You are stripped of your pack rank. You are exiled from the Bloodmoon territories. If you are found on our lands after midnight tonight, you will be executed on sight. Guards, throw this trash out." Rough hands grabbed my arms, dragging me backward across the cold floor. I didn’t fight them. The agony of the broken mate bond had numbed my entire body. Ten minutes later, I was violently shoved out of the pack's iron gates. I hit the muddy ground hard. Almost instantly, the skies opened up. A freezing, torrential downpour began to drench my clothes, washing away the mud and my tears. I pushed myself up, my body shaking uncontrollably from the cold and the residual pain of the rejection. I looked back at the glowing lights of the packhouse in the distance. Everything I had ever known, gone. I was completely alone. An exile. Turning my back on my home, I began to stumble blindly into the dark, dense forest, heading toward the human border. Every step felt like walking on broken glass. I didn't know how long I walked. Minutes turned into hours. The freezing wind howled through the trees, mimicking the emptiness inside my soul. My vision started to blur. My legs gave out, and I collapsed against the roots of a massive oak tree, sinking into the wet leaves. Is this where I die? I thought, closing my heavy eyelids. An exile in the dark? A sudden, deep rustling in the bushes broke the sound of the rain. My eyes snapped open. Panic flared through my veins. Had Killian sent enforcers to kill me before midnight? The bushes parted. But it wasn't a pack enforcer. Stepping out from the shadows was a wolf larger than any beast I had ever seen in my life. Its fur was midnight-black, swallowing the faint moonlight entirely. But it was its eyes that made my breath catch in my throat. They weren't the yellow eyes of a normal wolf, or the red eyes of an Alpha. They were glowing, molten gold. The massive black wolf stepped closer, its heavy paws making no sound against the wet earth. An overwhelming, suffocating aura of pure, ancient power flooded the clearing—an aura so massive it made Alpha Killian’s power feel like a joke. I froze, terrified to move, waiting for the beast to tear my throat out. Instead, the massive wolf stopped just inches away from me. It lowered its massive head, its golden eyes locking directly onto mine. Slowly, it leaned down and let out a low, deeply protective growl, inhaling my scent deeply as if it had just found something it had been searching for its entire life.
