CHAPTER 14-THE BATTLE ON

Then the masked men that were staying inside the big rooms (3 on the left and 4 on the right) quickly charged out of the room to check it out, and they saw the constables were standing not far from that middle room. One of the masked men on the right quickly pulled something like a rope that was hanging beside the door, then suddenly poison gas squirted out from 2 sides of the room in the middle. The poison gas can only cause hallucinations but not deadly. On the other hand, one of the masked men on the left shouting out loud to call for their other comrades to come. Even the poisoned gas wasn't deadly, but still the constable's side would still be vulnerable to being slaughtered by those masked men. Some of them managed to cover their noses before they inhaled the gas, but some still couldn't escape, including Haruto because he is the one who walks at the front. But luckily, he still managed to cover his nose when he started to inhale it a little. Those who had inhaled the gas started to hallucinate and, for those that were still sober, were confused as they didn't know what had happened to their fellow yet. Then they heard Haruto shout loudly to watch out for the poison gas because it can create hallucinations. Then some of the masked men start to appear and they quickly attack those constables. Those who had been hallucinated were an easy prey. The constable side that still stays sober immediately covers for their fellows who were under the gas spell. Haruto was one of them that started hallucinating. He quickly uses his sword to cut his left palm slowly to make it bleed and pain, so his brain cells can quickly get sober and focus. Meanwhile, the other team of constables that went on the left wing of the mansion earlier, has also arrived and quickly to help their fellows to fight with those masked men. The battle was unbalanced at the beginning, now the arrival of another team has turned the tide. After getting better, he saw the masked men were fighting with his fellows and some had already laid on the floor and died. So he quickly got up and helped his fellows to fight those masked men. He uses his inner qi-energy to strike one of his sword techniques of Kaizan’Gosei-ryū, “Senryū-Kaizan/Shǎnliú-Kuàizhǎn (FlashStream-QuickSlash)” to attack those masked men one by one in super speed by moving in zigzag move. Many of those masked men were down on the floor as they were defeated by Haruto. When the 2 sides are still fighting against each other, suddenly a figure shows up. The figure is the leader of the masked men, and he is wearing a mask too. He's holding a long heavy spear in his hand.

Masked leader: “I haven't gone looking for you guys yet, now you dare to show up in front of me. Tell me…!!! Which one of you killed my brother?? Admit it…!!!”

The constable’s side was confused as they didn't know who that guy mentioned.

Constable 1: “What are you talking about?? Who do you mean??”

It appears that the priest's leader (the king's advisor) that they killed was his sworn brother and this guy was the real leader of the masked men. It seemed like he was looking for revenge. They were from an evil cult that worshiped the devil. That's why doing this cruel and inhuman thing to the children and young girls, for them, was just a normal thing to do.

Haruto: “Your brother was doing bad things, like you do… Both of you are the same but yet you dare to seek revenge for him???”

Constable 2: “Yes, that's right… Don't use the name of justice to cover for your crime, you sick crazy bastard…!!!”

Then, suddenly, the masked man's leader threw a small dagger in that constable’s direction. However, Haruto saw it coming and immediately deflected it away. If not, his fellow people might already have been in trouble. This time, those masked men didn't use the hallucinating poison anymore, but directly a deadly one.

Masked leader: “Insolence brat…!!! You’re on the verge of death, but still dare to fight… Today I will let all of you die and bury here…!!!”

Haruto felt this guy's killing aura was very sharp and also very strong. Even if all of them joined forces, they might not be able to beat him down. So he decided to step forward to fight those masked leaders by himself. This is the only choice that he has. Someone must bear the responsibility and the consequences. Besides that, he was the one who actually finished the priest's elder with the final hit. No matter what, this is the thing that he must do.

Naruto: “It's me…!!! I'm the one who killed your brother. Come and get me, bastard…!!!”
