CHAPTER 18-ESCAPED THE TRAP

Shop-owner: “Don’t worry… after you guys die here, I will give you a nice burial. Hehehe…”

Then the shop owner walked away. No matter how loudly they yelled, there was still no response. Then a bunch of assassins appeared inside the shop. The constable team immediately realized that the shop owner was trying to murder them. However, the shop owner doesn’t know that among the constables, there is one guy strong enough to take down the assassins he had prepared. Those assassins quickly rush toward and attack 3 of them. Meanwhile, the first 2 assassins choose to attack Haruto by thrusting him. They thought he was the weakest among the others. Haruto quickly used the tip of his scabbard to stab the floor so he could slide backward to pass over them. Just passing through them, he quickly stood on his feet, and pulled out one of the techniques from Kaizan'Shinki-ryū, “Hiryū-Kaizan/Fēiliú-Kuàizhǎn (FlyingStream-QuickSlash)” by jumping in the mid-air with spinning slashes horizontally, then struck with a horizontal s***h again at one of the assassins, on his abdomen. With that s***h, the first assassin fell to the floor and died immediately. After pulling the second strike, he put his sword back into the scabbard. Then, the second one saw his comrade die, and he could accept it as he tried to attack Haruto with a vertical s***h. Haruto sees it coming and quickly pulls half of his sword out to block the strike. Then Haruto pushed the assassin backward until the assassin hit the third one and pushed again until the whole of his sword was pulled out from the scabbard to blow them both away with a Qi-energy strike. Suddenly, from Haruto’s right side, the fourth one thrust the sword toward him, and he quickly fended with his sword to the right side by pulling his body to the opposite side, then slashed horizontally to the assassin’s throat, cutting it open. Then the fifth one attacked him from the left as well. After blocking a few times, Haruto sees an opening and kicks the assassin’s hand to make his sword fly upward and stabs the ceiling. Before the assassin realized, Haruto already kicked him again with his left foot on the assassin’s shoulder to make him stumble and step away to Haruto’s right side. Before the assassin could get back on his feet, Haruto suddenly kicked him in the face, making him fall down. However, when the assassin fell not far from his comrade's dead body, he saw his comrade's sword there. Then he took it as he still wanted to fight Haruto till the end. But when he had just stood up, Haruto already slashed his chest. Then, he made a spin by facing back at the assassin and stabbing his sword into the assassin’s abdomen. However, the sixth one that came thrust at him suddenly, Haruto didn’t see it coming, and when he realized his enemy’s sword was already stabbing at his right shoulder. The assassin pushes Haruto backward with his sword, stabbing at Haruto’s right shoulder. Spontaneously, Haruto uses his sword to s***h at the assassin’s wrist by spinning his sword so he can grab the sword with his left hand. Then he slashes the assassin’s neck and stabs him in the chest for the final kill. Both of them fell down together, but Haruto was still okay as he was only kneeling down by holding his sword with his left hand to stab the floor. Later, the third and fourth assassins came back at him again. He quickly released one of the Kaizan'Shinki-ryū, “Sōryū-Kaizan/Shuāngliú-Kuàizhǎn (DoubleStream-QuickSlash)”, to strike at both of them with a diagonal s***h at high speed, with half of his body bending down. Both of the assassins immediately fall down and die. With this, Haruto had defeated 6 of the assassins by himself and with his comrades. Each of them also defeated 3 assassins. 3 of them were injured at the same time. The chief constable was injured by the assassin on his left upper arm. The other constable was injured quite badly compared to Haruto and the chief constable. He was hurt in his left abdomen with a cut and stabbed on his right back, but it was not serious. At least he's still alive. Afterward, 3 of them quickly break out of the empty shop and go to find the shop owner. On the other hand, the shop owner had returned to his first shop like nothing had happened until the constables appeared in front of his shop. The shop owner was so shocked that he immediately recognized their mask. He tried to run away from the back door of his shop, but he never knew that one of the constables was already standing at the back of his shop. The chief constable quickly closed the shop owner's door, so no one could interrupt them by interrogating the shop owner. They tied him to a chair, and one of them pointed the sword at the shop owner’s neck.
