They do their daily jobs and solve small criminal cases for a couple of months ahead, until one day another big case comes up again. This time it’s the king’s nephew who got murdered. This king’s nephew (also a prince) liked to sneak out of the imperial palace just for fun. He likes going to brothels and gambling. Almost every night, he sneaked out of the imperial palace just to enjoy his life. Since his father, the king’s older brother, had passed away when he was young, this young lad was very spoiled by his mother, who was a single parent. His mother can properly educate him, so he'd easily become a pampered kid. One night, he was killed on the way home to the imperial palace, inside his carriage. He was very drunk, so anyone could easily take him down without him being aware. His servant and his chauffeur ran away when the murderer came, so they were the only witnesses. They said the murderer was not human; it was a demon. At the beginning, the figure appeared in the mist ahead, not far from the carriage. Since it was almost midnight, so at that time they couldn’t see the figure clearly when he stood in the dark. The chauffeur had stopped the carriage and told the prince. However, at that time, the prince was so drunk that the servant came out and shouted at the figure to step away from the street, but the figure didn’t listen and remained standing quietly. Not long after, a strong wind blew, and the figure disappeared from its original position. Next, when they both realised, the figure was already standing not far from the horse carriage, frightening the horse, which panicked and stood up. Then the chauffeur fell from the carriage, together with the servant. Then they were very scared when they saw that figure up close. It wasn’t human. The figure wore a weird, long black robe, and all his fingernails were very long. Not only that, but his face was also scary, a demon lookalike face with 2 long horns on the left and right forehead. Soon, it scared them away without realising the prince was still inside the carriage. Later, when they came back to check on the prince, he was already dead inside the carriage, with both of his wrists cut deep open, and also the fatal part was his lower part of the body, where his genitals were also cut off. With that injury, the prince died from bleeding too much. The next day, the constable team came to investigate the body. The forensic team also mentioned that the wound was created by being stabbed by a sharp weapon, maybe a dagger or knife, because it was stabbed quite deeply into the flesh before being slashed open. Since at the crime scene, the constable team can find the murderer's weapon, they are still guessing what kind of weapon could create a wound like this. Finally, this is not the first victim. This king’s nephew was the third victim. However, the first and second victims seem not to be related. That’s why the constable had missed them. The first victims happened at the corner of the city at midnight, and the location was very silent at night. No one passes that place when the night comes. That’s why it's a suitable place for setting up a crime scene. The second victim happened outside the city. Even with the same wounds, but since it didn’t happen inside the city, the constable thought the first victim and the second didn’t have any connection, which means it’s not a serial killer. However, after the third victim, the constable team now believes these 3 cases were done by the same killer. Since then, the magistrate officer has requested that the constable team tighten security patrols, especially at midnight. A few days passed, and nothing happened. Until one night, another victim dies of the same wounds as the other 3 victims did. However, this time, a few constables who were patrolling that night happened to arrive at the crime scene. They heard the victim screaming for help, and when they arrived there, the killer was just about to leave. In just seconds, the killer disappears in the mist. The constables got close to make sure, and, indeed, the killer was really gone. Only a dead body there. After being checked by the forensic team, this victim’s wounds were the same as those of previous victims. The constable team believed the figure who disappeared into the mist must be the killer they were looking for. One of the constables that patrolled that night not only saw the killer, but they caught a glimpse of the weapon held by the killer, like a dagger but with a crescent-shaped blade. The chief constable remembered a few years ago when he was still new to the constable team.
