"How are your grades?" My dad asks as we all sat at the dinner table and I feel my hand tighten around the fork I was holding. I chew harder at my stepmother's terrible foot, ignoring his questions. "Teddy-" "I'm sure you know already. You're the principal afterall." I snap, dropping the dork to stare at him dead in the eyes and he sighs. "How long are you going to hate me? I-" "Forever." I say with no hesitation and his face falls. "Teddy. . .I think-" ""You think? Oh now you do the thinking you homewreaker." She gasps, but i wasn't done. "It's no surprise really, w****s usually do the thinking when their gold digging plot is complete and now they have to ponder on what next to spend the money on." She starts sobbing onto the table and I roll my eyes. "Go up to your room!" My dad snaps, and I standing I pushing both the plate and the glass onto the floor as i do. "Gladly." Slamming my door, I lock it and remove my shirt, kicking at the things on the door, I get a glance at the huge rose tattoo I had gotten as a drunk consequence and a rebellion to my father. Im glad i chose this and not a cat or something. I throw on some basketball shorts and a loose white tee before plopping onto my bed and grabbing my phone. Instagram got boring, and who even uses f*******: anymore? w******p was just a bunch of unseen messages and then there was one person who caught my attention. I tapped on Greene's status, to find a picture posted of her and her dog laying on her lap. Just now. She awake. I immediately hit the facetime button on my phone and call her. It takes about two tries but eventually she picks up. "You just dont give up do you?" She whispers and I chuckle. "Why're we whispering " there's silence before she sighs "I'm not supposed to be up." She admits sheepishly. "Seriously?" "Yup. Even at 16 years old my grandparents are pretty traditional." "So that means ill have to meet them and get their blessings before our date?" "Haha." She laughs dryly. "The one that'll never happen? Sure." "Ouch. It'll happen, don't worry." She shakes her head at me. "Is there a reason behind this call?" She questions.. ""Should i cut my hair?" I blurt out and she raises an eyebrow. Where did that come from. All my life i had long shoulder length hair, high school hit and i decided to cut the sides and trim it a bit, but i never went short. "Well. . . No." She says. "Why not" "Its up to you of course. But i just feel like you'll look better with your usual look. Dont go looking like the other boys with the short fades. Your man bun looks great." She teases and i snort. "Just keep it trimmed and neat and you'll continue to look handsome." "You think I'm handsome?" I smirk and she rolls her eyes. "It's late Ted, Goodnight." "Goodnight Greene." I murmur softly and she smiles before hanging up. And just like that, I slept like a baby. ● Loud laughter catches my attention as i near my locker, and I find Reid Sanford talking to Greene. There was a cute smile on her face and of course Reid stood their with his ugly smirk. Greene's eyes light up as they catch sight of me and I can't help but feel smug. "Hey Ted!" She greets before I even get to her and I grin. "Good morning Curly." I say, due to her hair being all down in tight coils. She gives me a playful glare before turning back to reid who was now glaring at me. "Reid, this is-" "Teddy bear, how's it going man?" He teases, stretching out his hand and I look at it in disgust. ""There's no need to pretend Reid, why are you here?" Greene looks confused, but stays quiet. "I was just getting to know the new girl here-" "Don't." I snap and Greene nudges me gently. "Wow, someone probably pissed in your cereal this morning. Ill catch you around Greene." He winks at her and I have to resist forging his eye out as he walks away. "That was pretty mean." She says shaming her head. "You dont't know him. He's not a nice guy." "I'm not as naive as you think, don't you think I know he just wants to get into my pants?" She snaps and I'm a bit taken aback. "Woah, am I missing something?" I question as she begins walking away. "Teddy, that scene you caused was unnecesarry, look at all these people looking at us!" Its true, almost the whole hallway was filled with gossiping and I sigh. "I'm sorry. . I-" "Shush, you were jealous. I forgive you." She smirks and i scoff. "I was not jealous." "Sure you weren't teddy.' "Stop calling me Teddy, its usually Ted." I whine and she giggles. "Okay hun, I'll see you after class Ted." She blows me a kiss before sauntering off in her tight black skinny jeans and I sigh, hypnotized by the way her hips moved. "You've got it bad my man." Jace claps my back, and I stomp heavily on his feet. "Screw you!" He spits shoving me into a locker and I chuckle as he holds his feet. "Hows everything thiugh?" He asks and I nod. "Smooth, I'm gonna help her with her hours on Saturday." He raises an eyebrow. "She just doesn't know it yet." "You're crazy." Jace rolls his eyes and I shrug. Maybe i am.
