Author's pov: "Riiiiiinnnnnnggggg" the alarm clock went haywire on the table... Goldie sleepily pressed The snooze button, pulled her duvet over her head and went back to sleep...few minutes later,Mrs Johnson ,Goldie's mum opens the door. "Come on Goldie...wakey wakey... time for school" said Mrs Johnson as she opens the windows and pulls the duvet away from the already groaning Goldie. "Ahhhh... no" said Goldie pulling the blanket back up "Oh yes young lady... I am giving you forty minutes to get your lazy ass of this bed and come downstairs ... immediately" said Mrs Johnson with a stern look on her face. Mrs Johnson walked out of the room... leaving the already frustrated Goldie to get ready for school. FORTY MINUTES LATER. The egg timer on the kitchen counter let's out a loud ring. "GOLDIEEE... it's forty minutes already" yelled Mrs Johnson from the kitchen while washing the fruits. "Almost done mum..." Yelled Goldie from her room as she tried to fix a bang which was out of place. "Ahhh... nevermind"groaned Goldie as she angrily threw her hair brush on her dresser...she picked up her school bag from the bed and rushed out of her room. DOWNSTAIRS Goldie rushed down the stairs and ran to the kitchen "Morning mum" said Goldie as she planted a kiss on her mum's cheek before rushing to her seat on the dining "Goo morning Godie...I wake up too"said Goldie's two years sister mimi as she banged on her baby feeding chair. Westbrook high School is modern three-story structure with white concrete walls, large blue-tinted glass windows, and silver architectural panels.with palm trees around the compound.students in white long sleeved shirt,Navy blue pleated skirt/long trousers, black shoes,navy blazers and tie walked around the school compound in groups. "Welcome to grade 11 " said lily with a smile. "C'mon... let's go in"said Goldie. ****************************************** HALLWAY: Students walked around and discussed casually,some opened lockers,some gossiped casually... Goldie walked shyly towards David, an 18 year old light skinned boy with brown hair... while lily and Regina stood few feets away watching with keen interest.. They leave the classroom heading to the cafeteria.. only to come across Mackenzie and David entering the janitor closet. "What do you think they are going in there to do??"said lily...
