CHAPTER 33 “It’s already stopped bleeding,” Rory called as she tried to tie Longinus’ waistcoat around her left shoulder with one hand. She grabbed one end with her teeth, pulling it into a knot with her right hand. On the other side of the clockwork bridge, Longinus huddled against the rock wall, breathing heavily. Rory pulled the knot as tight as she could around her shoulder. It was a pretty poor job, truth be told, but it was the best she could do. For now, the waistcoat staunched the wound well enough, and she would have to hope they’d get out quick enough for her to get help. Asking Longinus was out of the question. “There, it’s all tied up.
