The Alpha King's Nemesis

Elena Birds chirped in the distance as the cart dragged through the thick forest. I wrapped my arms around myself in a bid to shield my body from the cold that seeped out from the forests. Then my eyes caught the gate that was in the far distance. Any normal person mightn’t see it, but with my own proficient eyesight, I saw it so well. The nightingale kingdom was boldly written with a really ancient ink, the dark air that surrounded the kingdom could be felt from here too. “We’re here.” The rough voice of the person controlling the cart met my ears, dragging me back to reality. I sat upright and kept up with the blank expression on my face. The sole reason I’m here played at the forefront of my mind; to avenge my parents death. They were the center of my world, and suddenly, they were killed by the cruel king of the kingdom. I’ll make sure I’m the last person the king sees. The proper documentations was done at the gate and we were allowed to go in. I sighed in relief at that, my cover wasn’t detected. If only they knew. I’ve grown so much in ten years. I’m not only a strong werewolf. I run the most powerful mafia now. I’m the first female to ever be a don, and getting to that position wasn’t just an easy ride. I have alliances and forces at my back and call now, I fight wars for a living. I was forced to live in the woods at the age of ten, I had no food, clothing or shelter. I had to fend for myself, I was so small, yet mourned my parents and also strived to survive. “Welcome to the kingdom, you’ll all be taken to the slave quarters now.” A man said, he was waiting for us at the entrance of the castle. His voice boomed as he stared at us as though we’re smelling and disgusting him. It was like he didn’t even want to talk to us at all. I have a new line up, it seems. First it’ll be the Alpha, the council, then this man. He gestured at some really big men to take us, they also weren’t better with their loos. Too much people to kill in this pack, but the Alpha King tops the list for now. We were all led to the said quarters and I was soon my room. I sneered at the room, it’s too small and smelly for a living being. I wonder if the kings w****s stay in rooms like these too. Of course not. I’ll be out of here in no time anyways. I dressed in the slave attire and walked out, I was given a supervisor in no time, starting work immediately. “Will you move out of my way, slave?!” A booming voice had me turning around with so much force, I was about to fire back and just kill them when I remembered that I was here for something else. “I’m sorry, sir.” I said, feigning a shaky voice and a scared expression. “Be sorry for your pathetic self instead. Come with me.” The man ordered me, I had to keep my head down to show vulnerability. The nightingale kingdom has to be the most ancient lycan kingdom in existence. They’re as strong as they’re old. I wanted to ask where he was taking me and why I should follow him when I once again remembered that i had to act like a weakling. I followed hin quietly, maintaining a reasonable distance too. He kept walking till we got to some really large doors and he entered. “You’re to clean up after the king is done inside there. Stay right out here. I know you’re new and all, but messing up means your death too.” He ordered me, glaring hard at me with so much hatred that I wondered at some point if he knew me from anywhere. “Understood, sir.” I mumbled, still maintaining that small voice. He gave me another stare down, this time with a carnal look on his face. “Maybe you’ll be of help to me sometimes soon too.” He licked his lips, I felt bile rush up my throat with how disgusting he looked too. My fists curled up as I tried as much as possible to stop them from making contact with his disgusting face. “I might send for you one of these days though.” He gave me one last stare and was gone in no time, leaving me alone to my thoughts. I might end up not spending the amount of time I planned to spend here. I had thought I’d take out the king before the ceremony tonight, or shortly after it. He’s meant to pick a bride tonight and ladies are ready for him. No one should spend the rest of their life with him, he’s a monster and should die as one. The door to the chambers opened, making me keep my head down, the king’s aura was all could be felt in the air. He’s a strong king, no doubt. It’s just a pity that I’ll be the one to kill him. It’s a pity that all that handsomeness will go to waste. At least he hasn’t procreated yet, which just means there won’t be any continuity of him. He walked towards where I stood, I felt another light footsteps. A female. Was he having s*x with her? I didn’t even bother looking up, I know how he looks like. His memory has been engraved into my memory since I was a child. I kept my head bowed till he left with his mistress and I went to clean the room. It reeked of s*x! The room has to be soundproof, or both him and his mistress are so good that they didn’t make any sound. Because the mess in the room showed that they didn’t go slow at all. “What the actual f**k?!” I screamed as my eyes landed on the b**m kits on the bed. It was tied to the handle of the bed too. This is even the more reason I should end his life before the lady he chooses gets stuck with him. I cleaned it to the best of my ability and walked out of the room. I had to head right into the shower after I got to the slave quarters as I felt like the smell of s*x was stuck on my skin. As soon as I was done with that, I had to go out for other duties where I might or might not start putting my plans into motion, then I was informed that we all had to be present at the bride picking process. We had no choice to be there, we can’t even be caught hiding. Now, I’d have loved to be absent and do other things instead of attending one useless event, but I don’t want to be killed before I kill the king, so I attended. “Will all the ladies who passed the final stage now move forward? Whoever the light lands on is the chosen bride from the moon goddess herself.” A man dressed like a priest said. They started first with the rites then the king came forward. My goodness! This man is really pretty, he’s way more attractive than the painting of him I’ve had since. He’d easily pass for a god! For a moment there, I forgot my aims and just got lost in his beauty. Now I see why ladies would kill themselves for him. He’s really hot, or even beautiful. Then the big lamp that’d be used for the process came on. We all watched as it was launched and it started dancing round the room at first then it stopped. Suddenly, I felt a bright light blinding my eyes and everyone looking at me with shocked expressions, including the king. What’s going on?
