Chapter 1: An Unexpected Encounter
The scorching sun hung high in the sky. Ye Zheng, dragging his weary body, made his way through the bustling streets and alleys of the city. The stack of meticulously prepared resumes in his hand was already damp with sweat. Months of consecutive job - hunting failures had left this newly - graduated college student's eyes filled with confusion and helplessness.

Although Ye Zheng felt a bit scared inside, seeing the girl's pitiful eyes, he still stood his ground bravely. "How dare you rob in broad daylight? Aren't you afraid of the police?"
"The police? Haha, by the time the police come, I'll be long gone," the bald - headed man sneered and threw a punch at Ye Zheng. Ye Zheng sidestepped, grabbed the bald - headed man's arm, and twisted it hard. The bald - headed man let out a pained scream. Seeing this, the other punks rushed forward together.
