Robert kept on with his deliveries at work but had a tough time there, missing two deadlines cost him ten dollars. Ultimately, he was relieved from work at seven and started walking towards home. His house was on the outskirts of the town, therefore it was not connected by transit routes. On his way to his home, he came across a damaged car. He peeped in and found a girl with her head on the steering bleeding heavily. He took her to his house, which was the nearest place he could get first aid. He laid her down on his couch and applied a bandage on her head. Martha was out buying groceries for dinner. He sat on a stool beside the couch and waited for her to return.
Martha returned after half an hour and was startled to see a wounded girl on their couch. She dashed into Robert's room enquiring about the girl and was relieved to know that Robert brought her in for treatment. After getting told about the accident, Martha moved to the kitchen to cook dinner for the three of them. A short while after this, the girl gained consciousness and was shocked to see an unknown place. She tried to get up but she couldn't gather enough energy to get up. On seeing her trying to move, Martha moved closer, saying, "How are you feeling now?"
"Who are you?"
"I'm Martha, you are in my house. My son found you, injured in your car, so he brought you here to stop your bleeding."
"But where am I?"
"You are in Indiana, currently."
"f**k! I have literally no idea how I got here.", saying this, she felt great pain in his head.
"You need to rest right now. You are injured, I have made dinner for all of us."
"Thanks for helping me, but I remember being hit in my head while I was in a street outside a*****e in my hometown Tennessee."
"Oh! that's too far to reach here. We'll go to the police station to lodge a complaint about you."
"You are so polite and good but I can't repay your favor."
"No need for that child, after all, we are just trying to help. Now, you need to sit up for dinner. I should call Robert too."
"By the way, my name is Amy Halls."
"Hi, Amy, I am Martha Leeds and my son, Robert Leeds, found you in your car."
Saying this, Martha climbed up the stairs towards Robert's room.
