Chapter 15

Adriane's POV

I was mesmerized with the snow falling down from the sky. We don't have Winter season in the Philippines and this is the first time I experience it since I came here. While I was looking up, I felt something warm around my neck and it pulled be down. It's Ella's arms and she pulled me down for a - KISS!

She pressed her soft warm lips against mine. My mind and body went crazy! There's a zoo of butterflies in my stomach and suddenly my body feels warm despite the cold wind and snow slowly falling down on us.

My body responded to her warm embrace, I placed my arms around her waist and I slowly closed my eyes to savour the moment. I returned her kiss and I feel a smile escaping from her lips while I kiss her back. This is the happiest day of my life - I said to myself.

I pulled her closer to me and deepened our kiss, my tongue explored her mouth which made her moan - gosh that's so sexy. The soft peck she did slowly became a hot make out session under the falling cold snow. She slowly parted her lips from mine and leans her forehead against mine.

"I didn't know what came in to me, but I think that's something I had to do" she said to me while blushing. I smiled at her and hugged her tight, she buried her face on my chest to hide its redness.

"I really enjoyed this date, thank you for going out with me" I whispered in her ear. We sat there just hugging each other until we felt that I had to go somewhere warm because my body started shivering again after the hot make out the we had.

We went to a nearby cafe and grabbed some coffee. We sat down facing each other, then she suddenly spoke "I had fun today, in fact this is the first time I ever felt special to someone - so thank you for this day, Adriane" she said smiling while looking at me.

I don't know but that smile always sends butterflies to my stomach, there's a zoo in here before now I think there's a forest.

"I'm glad you had fun with me, I hope this means we can go out more often?" Hell yeah! I asked her out again without stuttering. "I would really like that", Ella said with a smile escaping from her lips.

The car ride back to her house was quiet but it's not an awkward one, probably we are on the same thought that this day is so wonderful that no words can express how we feel. Oh, right! and I am holding her hand all through out the ride! - hooray for me! 

I parked the car in front of their house, the light is still lit which means that her mom might still be awake. I got out of the car, opened the car door for her and walked her by their house door.

"Thank you for the date" Ella said, while standing in front of the door. "Thank you for going out with me" I responded and stepped forward, I placed my hands under her chin and lift it up to kiss her. I gently pressed my lips on her soft moist red lips. She responded to my kiss and placed her arms around my neck to pull me closer.

"Ah..hmm" we heard someone. I looked up and saw Margaret standing behind Ella, grinning at me. We must have been savouring the kiss too much that we did not hear the door opened.

"Had fun today?" Margaret said while looking at me and Ella. "Yes, ma'am!" I replied like a soldier still debating if it was a good thing that she saw us kissing.

"Drive safely, Adriane" Ella said while shooing her mom to go inside the house. "Yes, I will" I responded while waving goodbye to her and Margaret who's still peeking through the door looking at me, grinning mischievously.

Ella's POV

I looked through the window and saw Adriane drive off.

"So?" I heard my mom say. "So what?" I asked. "Oh no you won't get away with this, give me the details" she said while placing her hand under her chin like a kid waiting for a bedtime story. "We just had a date, that's it" I answered but I can't help the smile escaping from my lips and she noticed it. "Okay, if you won't tell let me just ask, is she a good kisser?" my mom said not dropping this conversation.

"Oh my God mom! You're too nosey, I won't answer that, I'm going up to my room. Just go to bed!" I growled at her. Seriously, she treats me like a teenager going out for the first time. "I'm happy to see you like this again, make sure to invite her over sometime so I can get to know her more, okay?" my mom said while walking away finally giving up on the whole conversation. 

I went up to my room still thinking about the date, then my mom's statement replayed in my head - invite her over?

I felt chills down my spine when I remembered the time I invited someone I like over. I don't want that to happen again, I said to myself. But what if it won't, Adriane's not Amber; the thoughts keep fighting over in my head. I shook my head hoping to clear it, I don't want to think about it right now, I'll just enjoy this feeling I have. I took a quick shower and slept with a smile - the same smile I have been carrying all day.

Today, I'm at work with Julia. Adriane's texting suddenly became more often after our date and she would call me from time to time asking how my day was.

I remember the day after our date she called me in the afternoon and we talked until midnight. It's like I was back in high school dating my first girlfriend - am I her girlfriend now? I asked myself.

"You look really happy today, do you have a picture of her?" I heard Julia spoke while I was busy looking at my empty computer screen. "No I don't, but I am following her on i********:, here." I handed my phone over to her, not having any second thoughts showing the handsome profile photo of Adriane on IG.

"Oh, wow! She's hot! I would totally do her if I'm bisexual" Julia said nudging her elbow on my arm. "You always say that to girls I like" I said slightly laughing. "It can't be helped, you have good taste when it comes to your girlfriends. So are you a couple now?" she asked. "I'm not sure about that, I mean we went out on a date once and..." I was not able to continue because I suddenly blushed thinking about the kiss we shared. "And you kissed" Julia finished my sentence with a big smile on her face. I looked at her surprised, "You don't have to say it, your face tells it all" Julia giggled.

Our conversation was interrupted when I received a message from one of my clients.

"Hi Ella - This is Mrs. Thompson, we'll be cancelling the session today. We have an urgent meeting, sorry for the late notice."

Oh, now I don't have anything left to do for today, I said not noticing I said it out loud.

"Well that's nice, I'm done with my work should we go meet your girlfriend? I really want to see her and get to know her more for your own protection" Julia said winking at me. "I suppose, I think she'll be at City Hall until 4:30PM today" I replied looking at my clock showing that it's almost 1:30PM.

"What are you sitting there for, come on!" Julia said excitedly and she's already holding my car keys. I have a really nosey best friend and mother, no wonder they got along together.

Adriane's POV

Ah..Ahchooooo!!! I sneezed my brains out.

"Geez, you look horrible. Are you okay? You sure you still want to finish your shift today?" Maddie said looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just got a cold, the weather here is really unfavourable to someone who came from a tropical country" I replied. "Would you mind if we switched breaks? I think I really need to get some shut eye for a few minutes" I asked Maddie.

"No problem, I think you really need it. I don't have work tomorrow, you want me to take your shift?" she asked. "I'll think about it, if I don't feel better later today" I said walking towards the break room.

I closed the door and sat on one of the La-Z-boy chairs then closed my eyes for a bit, I feel my head throbbing and it keeps getting heavier every minute. I have 30 minutes lunch break so it should be enough to give me energy to finish the rest of my shift for today, I said to myself.

I dozed off and was partly awakened when someone opened the break room door. Maybe it's Maddie and she's about to wake me up since my break is over.

Still cannot open my heavy eyes, I felt a pair of soft lips touched my forehead. I tried to open my eyes so I can see who kissed me, then suddenly I felt the same pair of lips pressed against my lips. That's when I lost it, this feeling is not familiar, with all the remaining strength in my body I opened both my eyes and in front of me is a brown haired girl, tanned skin with her eyes still closed - it's Maddie. 

I was startled to see her kissing me, I pulled my head back to let go.

"What're you doing?" I asked still confused. "I don't know a good way to wake you up" she said in a flirty tone, "Oh, and someone is looking for you" she continued while looking at the open door showing the people at the counter, where I see a familiar face - is that Ella?
