Chapter 13

Ella's POV

She asked me out. She asked me out. It keeps replaying on my head as I drive. I couldn't be much happier, I thought she would not speak to me again after I did not answer her call, a smile keeps finding its way on my lips as I walk towards my next client's house. Adriane's actions keeps surprising me.

After my last session for the day, I head back home. My mom is at the dining table doing some crosswords. "Something happened to you, tell me about it" she smiled. "How'd you..?" I started then she interrupted me "I'm your mother, I know when something's wrong or something good happened to you. I know this one's good, now what is it?" Am I that predictable? First Julia, now my mom, and I didn't have to tell them anything.

"She asked me out on a date this weekend." I confessed to my mom. "Finally! My baby girl's going on a date again! Make sure you shave or wax, you know where, before that day." my mom sung while going up to her room. I badly need to schedule a clean up for her dirty mind.

Adriane's POV

Today's our date. I've never been so nervous, I barely remember the last time I went out on a date. I asked my sister if I can borrow her car and she happily threw me her keys, almost pushing me out of the door. I'll pick up Ella at her house but first I had to get some tulips. All those texting paid off, I managed to know if she has allergies, what's her favorite flower, food and a lot more. I parked the car in front of the address she texted and looked over my self on the mirror before stepping out. I wore a black and gray hoodie, dark green pants and rubber shoes. I also told her to wear something warm and comfortable, it'll be a bit chilly at the end of the day and my plan for this date involves an outdoor activity.

I pressed on the door bell and her mom opened it. "Hello Adriane, nice to see you again" she stretched out her arms for a hug and I reluctantly hugged her back, it's not the normal greeting we do for parents. Back home, when we greet someone older than us - like parents, we take their hand and place them on our forehead as a sign of respect. "Nice to see you too" I answered. She let me in to the house and yelled at Ella to come down because her date is here. She stepped down the stairs, also wearing a red with white hoodie, dark blue leggings - showing her best curves and rubber shoes. "Am I dressed right for today?" she asked. "Perfect." I replied handing over the tulips to her. "Oh my, these are my favorite! Thank you!" she took them and placed it in a vase on their dining table, then we went out for our date.

While in the car, I tried to start a conversation because the silence makes my hands more sweaty. "You look beautiful." I managed to say - yey for me! "Thank you, you said wear something warm because we'll spend time outdoors" she answered. "Yeah, I did. We'll be making out...I mean making our way out (what?!)..um stay outside for today. Sorry, bad English" I completely humiliated myself there. I should have refunded the IELTS reviewers I bought if I knew I would suck like this, I noted to myself.

"I understand you" she said giggling. How I wish the car seat would swallow me right now and just spit me out once we're at the outdoor movie theatre.

I parked near the theatre and the look on her eyes took all my worries for today. She looks really excited like a kid that went to a toy store for the first time. She said she have never tried outdoor theatres before and so am I. I prepared our blankets and grabbed the snacks from my car, then handed over some to her. "Wow, you really prepared for this" she said looking at me. "I just want to make sure you'll enjoy spending time with me today" I answered making her blush. When Ella blushes, it's the cutest thing in the world. She would look down trying to hide the pinkish-red color on her cheeks and tug a part of her hair at the back of her ear. Man! she's really gorgeous.

The movie started and it's getting colder as the sun starts to set. I'm still not used to the cold weather, so I ended up wrapping my self in the blanket halfway through the movie. Then I felt something cold touched my skin..is that a snow flake?
