Chapter 9The intensive fortnight of detoxification by running and exercising did everything in its power to remind Gabriel Bronson that it was most unwise to be an asshole toward one’s own organism. Distances he used to conquer with ease now brought him to a state of exhaustion bordering on unconsciousness. His whole body was heavy, despite him not being fat – quite contrary, he was hollow.
