The butler walked through the long hallway of the mansion. His shoes touched the marble floor softly, echoing with each careful step. In his hands, he held a folded sheet of paper. It was not just any paper. It was the very same poster that had been spreading all over the cities. Everyone whispered about it, everyone pointed at it when they passed walls or corners where it was pinned. The faces of two vampires were printed in black ink for everyone to see. The butler’s expression was calm, but inside, he knew the news was dangerous. If the master saw this, he might be angered, or worse, amused. Neither was safe. Still, his job was to deliver it. He reached the door at the far end of the corridor. It was tall, with golden handles shaped like vines. He raised his hand and knocked softly.
