MET "HIS MATE"

1312 Words
Beta Zion kept his charming smile directed at Kamilah while still holding her hand. His teeth were perfectly straight and gleaming white. Kamilah felt her cheeks flush with warmth. In a hurry, she pulled away from him, only to turn and bump right into what felt like a solid brick wall. Beta Zion was about 6.3 feet tall, had short dark hair, and Kamilah could feel his abs through his shirt when she walked into him. Kamilah looked up to apologize when his scent hit her. He smelt amazing, he had an earthy aroma like rosewood and sandalwood. Kamilah leaned in and inhaled without realizing, when she heard someone clear their throat awkwardly. It was Marcus anyway. So Kamilah's eyes snapped open, and she stepped back quickly, apologizing before taking off back towards the kitchen. Once in the kitchen, Kamilah tried to calm her racing heart by taking deep breaths. "What is wrong with me?" she asked herself, not realizing she said it out loud. Marcus suddenly appeared in front of her and said. "Nothing is wrong with you. You just a had a smart looking-guy who wanted to flirt with you. Am I right?" "He is not just a flirty customer. Maybe. But it doesn't bother me." Kamilah said. "If I had to go serve that one hotty-guy there, I would be hyperventilating too. Damn girl, he is so f*cking handsome!" Marcus said, his face flush in red, his twinkling eyes proves that he had already a crush on him. "He asked me for a creamier, can you serve this for me?" Kamilah asked. "Are you sure?" "Yeah. If ever he asks about me, then tell him I was called by the restaurant manager." Kamilah said. "I can handle him!" an energetic voice. Marcus immediately picked up the tray with the bottle of creamier on it. Take a deep breath then he cheerfully starts his steps as he goes out from the kitchen. Kamilah laughed silently, watching Marcus in his walk like Catriona Gray. Thirty seconds left, Marcus came back to the kitchen. He pouted his mouth before he said, "I curse him!" "What happened?" Kamilah asked. "I cursed him because he didn't like me. He is so gentle, like a soft clear water in the river, but the way how he look at me? it killed me! that's why I curse him! I cursed him that there will be no woman who will look at him, the way how I look at him. I cursed him that his love will be burned only under my curse, and my rule!" Marcus proudly explained, he had the guts to say it to Kamilah as what he truly felt. "I know what you feel and I understand" Kamilah said. "You are really my bestfriend. You always knew how I smirk when I had a crush on someone, like a cute guy out there!" "If I got a chance, I will make him a sweet coffee that he didn't taste before. Then, I will tell him that you had a good taste, to combine the best mixture of coffee mix." Kamilah said. "You know what, you better take a break! and eat your lunch now." Marcus said, with his left brow lifted. Kamilah knew that Marcus just wanted to cut the discussion as they needed to continue their work. Straightening out her apron, Kamilah followed him back towards the kitchen, stealing glances towards where the customer name Zion sat at the table. A few minutes passed before they waved over. Kamilah cautiously assisted the other customer orders from the other table, while Beta Zion enjoyed his coffee and dark chocolate in his front. As Kamilah spoke with the customer, an unsettling sensation washed over her once more, like someone was watching her every move. Her heart raced, fueled by a strange energy that just wouldn’t let up. And that intoxicating scent? It was all too familiar, just like the one she had encountered yesterday. "All I know is that you're not allowed to eat sweets because your sugar level is high." Alpha Rahim suddenly came. And sat in front of Beta Zion who is currently smiling. While working, Kamilah walked over making sure to stay a few feet away from the table where Beta Zion is sitting, she had seen also that a new customer came in and sat with him. Shortly, Kamilah realized, maybe that one, the newcomer customer, is her stalker. She was confident that he was this person, whom she felt was different, unlike from that Zion, whom she had spoken to earlier. "Hi gentlemen, do you want to add some pizza?" Kamilah asked, not looking at either one of them. "What Pack do you belong to? I can tell you're a wolf, but you smell different from any normal wolf," the newcomer asked. Instead of answering, Kamilah just repeated the same question. "What is your order Sir?" her tone sounded bored. The newcomer smirked before reaching forward and grabbing her hand. As soon as he touched her, sparks flew through her hand and arm, leaving a tingling sensation. Kamilah quickly pulled her hand back as if she had just been burned. Taking a moment to pause, Kamilah turned her gaze toward him. His eyes suddenly turned a deep, pitch black. It was just for a fleeting moment before they shifted back to their usual silver-grey hue. He flashed her a smile, but she found herself unable to look away, utterly captivated by the intensity of his stare. "I'm Rahim, Alpha of the Moonwalker Pack. What Pack do you belong to?" he asked, using his Alpha voice. Kamilah felt fear that consumed her. Now she knew that his Pack was the Pack helping them, and he had an even scarier reputation than Alpha David. She also knew some details about the Moonwalker Pack, and that their Alpha was known for being cruel and merciless to those that have stood against him. Alpha Rahim was known for completely decimating Packs that refused to settle territory disputes, but he was also an Alpha that no one dared to challenge. He led the largest Pack, boasting over 500 members, with a staggering 90 percent of them being fierce warriors. Their Pack had never been defeated, and any other Packs that dared to confront them faced a brutal outcome. Additionally, he was the one who eliminated all the Hybrids. Now, he made Kamilah want to run away or submit, which no Alphas have an effort to protect her. No one! Besides being nervous, Kamilah's knees were also shaking with fear. "Kam, you have to go now to pick up Kate" Marcus suddenly called out from behind the counter, at exact time, the discussion was distracted between them. "Excuse me." Kamilah turned right away from Alpha Rahim. Felt relieved, she's safe now from Alpha Rahim's questions. Thanking the Moon Goddess for her escape. Kamilah quickly ripped off her apron, chucking it at Marcus, not daring to look behind her, as she ran out the door to get Kate from school. "She wanted to escape from me. I heard her heart rate speed up when I told her my name." Alpha Rahim said, watching Kamilah run and leave the restaurant. Beta Zion laughed slightly and said, " Your introduction is wrong. You should take it slow, and just calmly" Alpha Rahim frowned. "How should I do that?" Beta Zion opened the small jar behind him and said, " Its like you're mixing powdered cream into coffee. First, you have to estimate how much powder you need, if the taste is not so good, then you can add another mixture so you can get the best taste you ever wanted." "If she hates me. Then, it's your fault!" Alpha Rahim said. Then he eats the chocolate cake that Beta Zion ordered earlier. "Hermp!" Beta Zion cleared his throat.
