The snow fairy's quest.
Chapter One – The Snow Fairy Queen
The Fairy Kingdom shimmered like a jewel in the heart of the northern mountains. Towers of ice rose high into the sky, glistening in the sun as though the heavens themselves had carved them from pure crystal. Snowflakes drifted lazily through the air, though the season was not winter. Here, snow was not weather—it was life, a gift of magic passed through the bloodline of queens.
And on the throne of this radiant realm sat **Mia**, the Snow Fairy Queen.
She was young, her crown newly placed upon her brow, yet she carried herself with the grace of one born to rule. Her long hair fell like silver silk down her shoulders, and around her neck hung the most precious treasure of the fairy world: the **Crystal of Snow**, a pendant of pure light said to hold the blessings of the ancestors.
But Mia’s rule was not without shadow. Though the kingdom adored her, though her laughter filled the halls of the palace like sunlight, there were whispers of betrayal—whispers of **Usher**, the stepmother who once sought to wear the crown herself.
Mia rarely spoke of Usher. To her people, she was gone—banished, defeated. To Mia, she was nothing more than a shadow lurking in memory. Yet her absence was a wound that never fully healed. For Usher had been more than a stepmother; she had been the woman who once stood beside Mia’s father, the king who had vanished mysteriously years ago.
It was **Grandma**, wise and gentle, who had raised Mia when her father disappeared. Grandma was no ordinary elder; she was the keeper of the kingdom’s lore, the voice of the ancestors, and the one who whispered truths when the world seemed too heavy for Mia to bear.
In those years of loneliness, Mia found solace in her companions. **Rocky**, her dearest friend and the boy who had captured her heart, was her anchor. His laughter melted her sorrows, and his courage steadied her. And then there was **Mate**, her sworn best friend, a warrior fairy who had pledged to protect her even at the cost of his life.
Together, they filled the silence of her childhood with warmth and adventure.
But despite their joy, Mia sometimes sat at her window at night, staring at the stars, wondering why fate had taken her father, why her stepmother had turned cold, and why the crystal she wore seemed heavier with each passing year.
That morning, as the kingdom awoke beneath a sky painted in pink and gold, Mia stood on her balcony, breathing in the crisp air. She looked down upon the fairy park, where children played and snowflowers bloomed.
“Today,” she said softly, touching the crystal at her neck, “I will not think of shadows. Today, I will only think of joy.”
And so she went down to the park with Rocky at her side, their laughter carrying on the wind. They played, as they had so many times before, running through the sparkling fields, hiding between the frozen trees, and forgetting—if only for a moment—the weight of crowns and crystals.
But destiny had its own plan.
For hidden among the shadows of the park were eyes watching them, waiting.
And before the day’s end, Mia’s joy would shatter, and the Snow Fairy’s quest would truly begin.
To be continue..
