Our Time

The Encounter

I woke up and got ready to go to Golden Moon Pack. Went to the front door and waited for my father, mother, and brother to come. I saw the car roll up and saw Anthony get out of the car.

“Hey Anthony! You were selected to be our driver to the Golden Moon Pack I suppose.” I said to him

“Alpha Vincent. Yes, I was and its an honor to bring home our Luna. We will also have Amanda going with us too. She will be driving your father and brother back while me and you stay behind.” Anthony mention to me.

“Stay behind no one told me any of this.” I said confused.

“You will be there for a few days before you and Rosalie come back. Its to do a celebration and some politic stuff.” My bother said.

“Why am I just being informed about it now?” I said as my father descend the stairs.

“Because I was just informed about it now by Elder Mark and Cane. They are coming along too. They want to know more about this white wolf people are seeing. They feel Golden Moon is hiding something.” My father said to me.

We all got into the car and made our way to the Golden Moon pack. Hopefully we don’t encounter this white wolf everyone else is encountering.

Rosalie point of view

“Rosalie! Rosalie are you in here?” said Julie.

“I am here in my closet Julie. What do you need?” I responded.

“Rosa, they will be coming soon. Why aren’t you dressed yet? Are you going to meet your fiancé naked?” Julie mocked me.

“Julie! I am almost ready. I will just wear this one.” I said as I picked up my green, halter top, laced dress. It was a High low-cut dress, and I picked a sliver necklace with a crescent moon pendent. Paired it with my nude heels and pinned up half of my curled hair.

“How do I look?” I asked Julie.

“Perfect. I just hope he likes it too.” She said to me.

I smiled at my sister then we linked arms and walked out of my room towards the front door. My father was waiting for me, and my mother was making final touches before they arrived. I walked up to my father, and we started chit chatting about pack stuff when a car arrived. We weren’t expecting it. We saw Elder John and Price get out of the car.

“Elder John, Elder Price. What is the meaning of this?” Said my father

“Marcos, we were told that Elder Mark and Elder Cane were coming today also. They had some concerns with a white wolf running on our land of the Old Ruins. Do you know anything about this?” Said Elder Price.

“Was never informed of such a wolf. How do we know if their statement is true?” Asked my father.

A white wolf has not been spotted in nearly 25 years. It was towards the end of the Moonlight City war. It came down to stop the war, but it was hard the evil inside the Alpha King at that time was far too great. Only the Golden Moon Alpha and the Silver Moon Alpha were able to get him to subdue and destroy him. After they did that, another war started, and they were fighting for the lands. We got the Old Ruins while Silver Moon got the city.

“Well one has been spotted in the Old Ruins. Seems like it was trying to guard something. It is only spotted at night.” Says Elder John.

“Must be gone by the time we get there. I normally patrol the Old Ruins.” I manage to say to Elder John and Price.

They both looked at me with confusion. Every other night I go on patrol of the Old Ruins because no one else would do it. I feel most free when I am there. But I have never seen a white wolf.

“When I patrol there, it is always empty fields. Nothing out of the ordinary. Never seen a white wolf.” I spoke.

That was when we notice another 2 cars pull up. My father perked up and my mother came rushing over. Elder John and Price made it to the door and moved to the left while my mother and father went to the right and I came up in the center since Julie was dragged by my mother to the right also. The doors open and it hit me, the scent of rain and freshly cut grass. That was when a handsome man stepped out of the passenger side. He was about 6’3, light brown hair and hazel eyes. He had sharp features and looked right at me.

My father started to introduce everyone. “Welcome to Golden Moon Pack! I am Alpha Marcos, this is my wife and Luna Josephine, my youngest daughter Julie, and my eldest daughter Rosalie. Why don’t we take this inside to the meeting hall?” my father mention.

The man I was staring at walked up and put his hand out to my father. “Yes. Let’s go to the meeting hall. My name is Vincent, my father Alpha David, my mother Luna Elenora, and my brother and Beta Ethan.” He said then looked right at me. “It is nice to meet you, Rosalie.” Time stood still when he spoke to me. I was lost for words. “Nice to meet you too Vincent.”

My father gestured us to go inside. I walked in first, followed by Vincent, my family, his family, and the elders. I started feeling my heart race and feeling slightly embarrassed. I have never felt like this before. We had just made it to the meeting hall, and I waited at the door for everyone to enter, then I felt a hand turn me around and met with hazel eyes.

“MMM. You smell delicious. I love strawberries.” I could see the lust in his eyes. Then my sister peeked out and cleared her throat.

“We do still have a meeting guy…” She said to us. I looked her and pushed Vincent slightly then walked in. He followed in shortly and we sat opposite one another. He just stared at me.

“Thank you for having us Alpha Marcus. As per agreement I wanted to bring my son Soon to Be Alpha Vincent and my youngest son, Soon to Be Beta Ethan. My wife and Luna wanted to join to met her soon to be daughter in law.” Says Alpha David. I could feel them looking at me.

I stood up and said “It’s a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Rosalie Knight. Let’s get down to business.”

We were there for hours talking politics but occasionally, I would feel eyes on me. I looked and saw Vincent staring at me. Then I would feel butterflies in my stomach and feel dizzy. I went back to the conversation about building a new pack house on the old ruins and having the city expand. We are keeping the Golden Moon Pack and the Silver Moon Pack the same.

The titles of Alpha and Luna would still make our lines Alpha. There was no debate there. We did have a debate about the name that will carry on the legacy. In my case since I am a female, I would carry his last name. They came to an agreement to have it Knight-Sliver. It was a hard decision. They all decided it was time for a short break and to eat lunch. I grabbed my Julies arm and walked towards the door.

We started to walk towards the dinning hall. I could smell the freshly baked corn bread and chili. When we walked in, they had made a few things. There was corn bread, chili (my favorite), barbeque chicken, grilled steaks, burgers, and brats. I guess we grilled for our guest today. I went to get a bowl of chili, put a whole spoonful of sour cream and a hand full of cheese, grabbed a corn bread then went to my father’s table. I sat down to enjoy my meal but the overpower of rain and freshly cut grass got to me. I looked up and saw Vincent and his family coming to sit with us too.

“Alpha Marcos, I have to say your chiefs did not have to make this much food.” Says Alpha David.

“Ah, we didn’t know what kind of food you would like. I asked our chiefs to make it a grill day and make all our favorite dishes.” Said my father.

Then I felt eyes on me and heard Vincent say “I see that the chili is your favorite dish… With a side of corn bread… Mine is too…” I looked over and he had chili too but no sour cream and just a sprinkle of cheese. That made my dish look overpowered by dairy products.

“Yes, I like chili.” I said I looked at his chili again. I stirred mine around until it was all combined then I took a spoon full and put it in my mouth. I love eating Mrs. Williams chili, I was enjoying it until Luna Elenora said “This chili is amazing, I would like this chief to be at the new pack house. Until we can have it built. I want the recipe for this chili.”

That made me stop middle bowl, that is right, I am no longer going to be here. I am going to miss this chili. “Yeah, we wouldn’t want Rosalie to go without her favorite dish.” Says Vincent.

I looked up and he didn’t even touch his chili, he has been staring at me the whole time I was eating mine. How embarrassing. I put my head down in shame and my sister nudge me. She then leaned over and whispered in my ear “he has been analyzing you this whole time Rosalie… I wonder why.” I looked back up at him and he was still staring at me. Great… This is going to be a long rest of the day…
