Aurora’s POV The sound of Gina’s body hitting the floor sent a sharp jolt through me snapping me out of my shock. My breath hitched as I turned toward her my heart slamming against my ribs. She lay motionless a dark stain spreading across her side. Blood. Before I could move a figure stepped forward from the shadows blade still dripping. A man. Tall, broad-shouldered, his face partially obscured by the dim light. But I didn’t need to see him clearly to know he wasn’t just some random attacker. This was planned. He knew we were coming.
