We arrived home and Elouise went straight to our room to calm down after seeing her mother. She was still angry; Candice had stood up as a character reference for Victoria, when she wasn't a model mother either. That left me in the living area to answer everyone’s questions regarding the court hearing. “Jonah’s the father”, I said as everyone’s mouths dropped open in surprise. They all knew there was a possibility; I suppose they were hoping for a different outcome too. “I have to admit, a little part of me wanted her to be Isaac’s for his sake.”
