Chapter 36It has been two days of terrible weather since Stolor, captain of the Mermaid's Tale, set off from the land of the Sashee back to Cornice. The latest barrage of waves and hail damaged the cutter to a point that the captain had to make the decision to reroute to Thull in order to make repairs to the ship. Even though he is under strict orders from Katrivus to sail directly to Cornice, he deemed this detour absolutely necessary.
The Mermaid's Tale pulls into the docks at Thull just as the sun is setting on the horizon. Most ships have to moor off-shore and send in a few sailors with a request to dock, but Katrivus owns the Mermaid's Tale, so there is always a dock available immediately.
Stolor takes care of arrangements to have the cutter repaired and makes his way to his favorit
