Week 1 How to create an initial outline
General ideas:
Aubrey is abused by her mother each and every day. She struggles to fight her battle with depression and suicidal thoughts, but eventually the self-harm doesn't dull the pain anymore and things spiral out of control when it results in a suicide attempt.
Waking up in the hospital she finds her second chance in the form of Jack. A quiet boy who is determined to help the girl he has always secretly loved to fight her demons.

Aubrey's mother is an alcoholic and uses Aubrey as a punching bag to deal with her pain of losing her husband.
Aubrey is depressed and internalizes the abuse thinking that it is her fault her mother treats her that way.
She is bullied at school and at home and her depression builds which leads her to start cutting.
Jack has watched Aubrey for years with attempts at trying to get her to notice him, he sees her pain but he can't get past her walls.
He finds her one day at school in a bathroom after a suicide attempt.
Scene ideas:
Prologue flash forward riding in the ambulance after her attempted suicide her mother begging for forgiveness and Aubrey fading into a blissful darkness.
The car accident when Aubrey was 5 which took the life of her father and Aubrey survived. This is where the abuse stems from. Aubrey lived but the love of her mother's life did not.
Waking up in the hospital to see that there is a familiar but unknown boy sleeping in a chair beside the bed. The doctor comes in and tells her that he was the one that found her and hasn't left her side since.
Jack trying to find a way through. How can he tell her that he was been there for her through all of these years without scaring her away?
