Chapter 23The habitat door burst open and the breaching Commando jerked backwards, collapsing against his team-mate. Marcus ejected the spent shell and fired again. The first Commando’s armor had saved him and he rolled to one side, allowing the other members of the team to move past him. He came face-to-face with the second Commando, dead. His broken helmet strap was the only thing left between his nose and what was once his throat. The hunting rifle was useless now his enemies were inside the room, so Marcus let it fall to the floor as he drew his sidearm and began firing as fast as he could into the doorway, while moving deeper into the habitat.
