Chapter 4Silver watched Kim watching the group. Even though Team One were the ones presenting, they still had a wide gaze, evaluating the entire room with a stony smile.
There is someone who is calculating, thought Silver. A genuine Foundation Loyalist who would not hesitate to find us all wanting in the eyes of the unseen founder.
Silver turned his attention back to Team One and their spokesperson, Connie Something-something. Silver thought again about Kim, still appraising the room, confident that they could remember both barrels of Connie’s surname.
He did not mean to be disrespectful, to the contrary, Silver had a lot of respect for her work on artificial intelligences controlling Slate homunculi, but it was hard to concentrate when he knew everything being discussed.
