The instant the airlock opened, Desa went bounding out at full speed. She didn’t seem to care about the trio of uniformed guards that stood between her and the viewing platform. She’s not gonna hurt anyone.” The leader of the trio, a tall, lanky man with olive skin and sharp eyes, replied with a grunt of disapproval. “Ma’am,” he began. “Can I see some credentials?” “Well, there’s a treat!” Anna said. “Someone who doesn’t know me.” “Oh, I know perfectly well who you are,” the guard insisted. “But there’s protocol in situations like this.”
