The Wolf Pup That Lived II Alyra's Second Chance (Completed

Chapter 3

I woke up late in the morning but my little Xavier was bright eyed, and bushy tail whipping through the courtyard in his Black and white wolf play fighting with Nolan.  Nolan was pushing Xavier Alpha more and more but Xavier kept his control through the ordeal.  I was proud to be his mother everyday and thankful I have him in my life.

I turn away from my window and get ready for the day.  The advisors are already here and settled in to explain the open minutes of the last meeting they had with the other wolf packs.  

After the meeting with the advisors.. I go to the study to find Xavier, and find him with his head basically almost buried into his book.  I walk over to him and say "the book is that good huh.." while waking him up.  Xavier lifts his head up and says "yup, yup.  Sorry mom I fell asleep".  I giggle a bit and say "even royalty need more sleep then usual.  The job is not a physical one unless your in battle, but it is mentally draining.  Hopefully you find your mate and she can keep things interesting" giggling at him.  Xavier says "Mom!"

Okay, Okay Xavier I will not say anymore about that subject.  How far did you get?  Xavier says "I am almost done with remember the rules and conduct of the crown.  I look at Xavier and say "sweetheart all you need to learn is to follow your heart, and soul.  You know everything else already.  I taught you everything I know, and it didn't come out of these books.  How is the spirit world training going?  Can you finally stay in or the veil collapses on you still?"  Xavier says "still in diapers with that one".  I start laughing while shaking my head.  Xavier says to me "I like you like this mom, I haven't seen you so happy".  I tell him "thanks" while giving him a kiss on the forehead.

Well lets take a break from royal duties today, and have a mother/son day.  Would you like that?  Xavier says "yeah that sounds like fun!"   Lets go before the advisors find us.

Me and Xavier run out of the mansion and jump into my mustang.  Sam mind links me saying "where are you going?"  I tell him "having a mother/son day, and showing Xavier to have a little fun in the human world.  I'm taking him to the fair in town".  Sam says "have fun just keep the mind link open in case you need us".  I tell Sam "yup".

The advisors search the mansion high and low for me.  The advisors went to Sam and said "the Queen and crown prince is gone..we need to inform her mates and find out who took them".  Sam look at the advisors and says "the Queen informed me she is taking a family day with the crown prince, and she is perfectly safe where she is.  The guardians have everything under control.  We do not need to inform her mates nor anyone else".

The advisors stomp away unsatisfied but cannot argue with the guardians.

I mind link Sam telling him "me and Xavier will be home around 6:00 pm going to take him to a restaurant for supper before going back home.  Sam says "just have fun Alyra..don't worry about the advisors I got them under control.  See you soon".

After the restaurant I asked Xavier do you want to learn how to drive the mustang?  Xavier says right away "Yes!"  I bring him to a quiet area in the city to show him how to drive.  I stop the mustang and get out of the driver seat while Xavier ran over to the driver's side.  We get in the car, after he buckles up I hand him the keys to start the car.  At first the car kept jerking, but he finally was driving the mustang.  We go up and down the road.  I can see the biggest smile on my first baby's face like he did when he was a pup in my arms.  Gentle, sweet, and full of wonder.

After an hour I took the wheel and drove us back to the mansion, Xavier was so excited from today's events he forgot his huge stuff teddy bear in the back seat.  I tell Sam "I guess the guest in the back seat doesn't want to come out" while laughing.  Sam shakes his head and says "who won that thing?"  I tell him "Xavier".  

While Sam was taking out the hug teddy bear, Jaxson, Koda, Brianna, Bianca, and my mates walk over towards me.  I say "Hey! where did you all come from?  They all hugged me at once I took in all my pups scent.  I missed them so much".  After awhile I let them go while faced with Connor and Theron which were squirming in their boots.  They noticed a big difference in me.  I tell them "go in the mansion I will be their in a minute".  I look back at Sam struggling to get the teddy bear out of the car.  He pulled hard and the paw got caught in the seat belt, and Sam fell on his ass to the ground.  I started laughing really hard.  While telling him "getting old sucks doesn't it".  Sam growls a bit at me and says "you should know old lady".  I still laughed at him.

I got my coat off and put away my purse in my bedroom.  The children look at my room and said "what a big down grade".  I tell them "its perfect, comfortable and cozy".  Jaxson says "well If you like it mom it is all that matters".  I tell Jaxson "thanks sweetheart".   Connor and Theron come in and ask the kids to leave us alone for a bit.  They comply and leave my room.  Theron closes the door.

Connor looks at me and says "how are you?"  I tell him "I am fine".  Theron says "I haven't heard you laugh in so long..I miss it".  After a few minutes of silence Theron says "what did you do all day?"  I tell Theron and Connor "I gave the advisors the slip with Xavier, and took him to the fair in town to show him to have fun in the human world.  I taught him how to drive the mustang a bit, we ate at a restaurant, and finally came back".

I look at Theron and said "I am going to teach Xavier even though he has royal duties he needs to live his life and have fun also.  It seems we forgot about that part, but wait...let me correct that.  I forgot to have fun while you and Connor decided to have fun with another instead of me".  Theron and Connor drop their heads low while Connor says "I am sorry my love" while Theron looked at me and said "your right".

Apparently I said the last part so loud that the children heard the conversation.  Sam said to the children "you shouldn't be listening to your parents, come in the family room".  The children follow Sam to the family room.  I look at Connor and Theron unsure what to say anymore.  

Look the children are here I am going to spend some time with them before they leave with the two of you.  With that said I leave my room and head towards the family room.  When I walk in the children's face were sad.  I sit down and tell them "come here" they all sit around me and I look at all of them while saying "life can get hard, confusing, and sometimes parents lose their connection to what they once were.  I love you all and always will, but I need to find myself again and I can't do that being with your fathers.  That is the reason I am here and not at the pack mansion.  It has nothing to do with any of you.  Its me" while giving each a kiss.

"Now what have you been up too?"  Koda says "nothing that you and Xavier did".  I smile at Koda and said "next time I will go and get you all, and make a family event okay".   All their eyes lit up like the night sky and very anxious for that time.

Connor and Theron walk into the family room while saying "your mother is right we should make a family event and go to the fair".  I look at them while saying "this time I would have to bring the guardians" while Sam looked at me knowing the reason I said that. 

After spending 2 hours with the children, Connor and Theron gathered up Jaxson, Koda, Brianna, and Bianca to take them back to the pack house.  I give them all a kiss goodbye and tell them I love them, and I  will see them soon.

After they leave...Sam and Alex walk up on each side of me saying "bring the guardians huh.."  I said "yup, to keep an eye on my pups".  Sam says "not for something else?"  I walk away from them with a smile on my face.  Alex and Sam got the hint.
