I took a breath and placed my fingers against Brady’s throat and searched for a pulse, closing my eyes so I could focus all of my attention on finding that beat beneath my fingers.
I was beginning to lose hope when I thought I felt something. I pushed in with my fingers and visualised pushing a small amount of energy through into Brady.
There! There it was again, a beat, and then another, it was faint but it was there. I breathed a sigh of relief and looked up at Parker and grinned. He let out the breath he was holding then too and looked back at the others and nodded to Hunter. Hunter let go of Amelia and she came running over.
