My Father's Choice

It is a beautiful day in the home of Mr and Mrs Hudson, who have just one child; Olive who is 15. They are wealthy and make sure Olive has the best life. Her comfort is their top priority. Mr Hudson being a cardiologist and Mrs Hudson an ophthalmologist. Olive! Olive!! yes mum Olive said with a sharp response, your dad and I will be out for the night, I want you to be safe and take care of your self okay? Mrs Hudson said while looking and Olive then proceeded to give her daughter a cousy hug. Olive hugged her mum back and said okay, okay mum I'll be fine, you know I'm not a child anymore. They both laugh and Mr and Mrs Hudson say bye to Olive and leave. Olive thought to herself what she could do at this point, she decided to call her best friend, Summer. on the phone with Summer: Olive: Hey Sumz, I have an idea are you free tonight? Summer: Hi Vee, uhm yeah sure even if I was busy, I know you won't let me be, so what's the idea? Olive: chuckles then replies, my parents are out for the night, wanna have a sleepover? Summer: sure I do! catchya in a bit Olive: alright seeya can't wait! After few minutes, the door bell rang, "ding dong". Olive ran towards the door and opened very sure it was Summer. Summer! Olive said with so much joy in her eyes they embraced each other and the two girls started their sleep over. They played games, danced, watched a movies and a lot more. When the girls were watching their movie, something really strange happened, they heard a noise from upstairs. Olive and Summer ran towards where the sound cane from to check what made such a lot sound but there was nothing there. not even a mouse. they headed back to watch their movie and again *banggg!* Summer and Olive were frightened! they quickly got their things and went to Summer's house for the sleep over. **The next morning** Olive quickly gathered her things and and went back home where she saw her parents back from their date night. Olive came and said hi to her parents. hi mum, hi dad, how was you date night. Mrs Hudson replied by saying hey love our date night was good, but your dad slept through out the movie while laughing she went on by saying sweetie heard you were at Summer's hope you had a nice time? Mr Hudson laughed back and said that's not true to what his wife said when Olive said yeah mum had a nice time but something weird happened. Olive narrated what happened at the house before both her and her friend decided it will be better if they had the sleep over at Summer's house. Hahahaha! Mr Hudson laughed hard and said you guys are just kids and its normal, just because you didn't have me around sweetie you were scared. Mrs Hudson backed her husband up and said yes honey they are probably just in your head there's not to be afraid of. Olive disagreed with her parents. no! dad I know exactly what I heard, dad something was here last night. no no my dear maybe you're beginning to watch too many movies,Olive everything's fine, Mr Hudson said and gave his daughter an assuring hug then Mrs Hudson leans over for one big family hug. **Later that night** Olive had a very strange dream. where she saw her mum alone crying for help that a vampire caught her neck and bite it. Olive tried to reach her mum in the dream but it seemed like she was trapped in a transparent box with no way out. she hit the box severally for a way but nothing! Olive woke up screaming and struggling on her bed. she woke up with fear and hurried straight to her parents room to check if they were alright, they slept peacefully and they were fine, Olive didn't want to disturb them so she figured she would just wait till the morning. She went to the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of water and headed back to her room still in fear. Olive kept thinking throughout the night till she fell asleep. The next morning, before school, Olive came to her parents and said mum, dad I know this sounds very stupid but you have to believe me when I say this I have a feeling vampires are real and one is coming for mum. Mrs olive sighs olive, why would you say that?? I can't believe you right now!! Olive cut her short, mum just listen to me, I had a dream last night and I saw a vampire biting you on your neck and it was around that same spot we heard the noise from the day you and dad went for you date night, it sounds unreal but mum, dad I think a vampire wants to kill mum and I think it was still a vampire that was in our house the day Summer and I were having our sleep over. Oh My God! my Hudson screamed Olive we need to see a doctor, have you started hallucinating? what is wrong with you? vampires are not real! they are just in movies and maybe books, we are in the real world here Olive please stop this or I'll have to take you to see the doctor. Olive said dad you have to believe me and take mum away from here, please! she pleaded. Mr Hudson got mad and said you know what I can't have this conversation anymore, I'm off t o work see you ladies later. he pecks his wife and daughter on the head and walks out. Mrs Hudson stood there staring in space, she believed her daughter for some weird reason, the look in Olive's eyes said a lot, she was worried, scared and wanted to save her family. immediately she looked at her mum, her mum knew she knew exactly what she was saying and Mrs Hudson also had experiences where she dreamt about things that will happen in the future. Olive walked closer to her mum who was still staring and thinking she shook her mum with tears her eyes, mum, you believe me right?! mum we have to leave this place please! I can't watch you die, mum please. Mrs Hudson said nothing but tears began to roll down her eyes she looked at her daughter helpless trying to protect her, she said Olive please stop this wipe your tears and go to school, you'll get late, I'll be fine nothing will happen to me I'm fine! Olive tried to hesitate but her mum said no! Olive I want you to go don't worry we can talk later. Just go to school and make me proud okay? Olive went to school that day absent minded and sad think of what she could do to save her family, she went to Summer and said Summer we have to talk. Summer looked at her friend looking like she was in another world, asked Olive, are you okay? Olive said I'll explain please follow me and promise me you'll believe me no matter how stupid it sounds. Yes, yes, I will just tell me what's wrong Summer said, okay follow me to the Cafe let's talk please Olive replied. they went to the cafe and Olive said everything, she explained everything to Summer while I n tears. Summer bursted into laughter she said Olive what role are you practising for? you're so good ant acting, vampire, really I mean those are only in movies what are you saying Olive? you know what maybe you haven't gotten enough rest from all the school work we've been doing lately. Sumner uses her thumb to wipe Olive's tears and said to her, Olive you need rest I know it's not been easy on us I school so I understand, I'll follow you home today, make sure you rest properly and if it doesn't work we'll have to go to the hospital. No Summer I'm serious! Summer said shhh! Olive I know don't worry I'm your best friend. it'll be okay, alright its time for my music class I'll catch you later. Olive sat there thinking, she went to the toilet and cried so hard. she thought to herself, I must prove these people wrong and save mum...
