In the complete moment of silence, everyone seems to be engaged in one thing or the other.
All of a sudden the train stopped. Everyone was alarmed by the happening.
The captain made an announcement “ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at our destination, all passengers should please wrap up all your belongings and head to destinations.”
It was barely a 2hours journey...
Alina who leaned her head at the edge corner of her seat .... jumped up out of excitement and ran out of the train without waiting to hear the information the captain was trying to pass. She was just too excited about the exams and about the state capital that she even forgot about Leo and her luggage.
Leo was very mad by her actions, she had not only forgotten him but also ran across the seats without bothering to listen to any instructions.
“she didn't even bother to offload her things nor did she care about the people watching her run on the train... when will Alina stop acting like a child.” He mumbled.
Alina has had a lot of beautiful stories about the nation's capital from her friends at school and also, she has watched a view of the nation's capital on TV. She is just too excited for patience.
“wow, this place is so beautiful....” Alina exclaimed, her eyes glancing around brightly. the nation's capital was endowed with a lot of beautiful places for the eyes to behold. Alina couldn't stop gazing around.
“Alina, why the hell are you all so worked up over the looks of the capital, don’t you know that you are acting like a child?. you didn't even allow the captain to finish what he was saying...
Leo dragged both luggage out of the train and met up with the entranced Alina. He nagged her but Alina didn't pay any attention to what Leo was saying....the only thing in her mind was the beautiful view of the well-civilized and architectural train station.
“Leo, please take a good look around. if the train station alone is this beautiful, just imagine how the main city would look like...Don't you think it will be more awesome if we could actually go and see the presidential villa?”. Alina muttered in a loud tone, unaffected by the strange gazes lingering on her.
“no I can’t take this anymore, this is the limit”. Leo mumbled inwardly when he saw the reaction of the crowd around them.
“ Alina will you snap out of all this fantasy and come back to reality...Most of all remember what you are for and stop gazing around like a villager it's kind of embarrassing.”
“ ok....sorry about that.” Alina snapped out of her absentmindedness after hearing his angry growl.
Leo hissed then he dropped Alina's luggage in front of her and walked forward... Just when she held her luggage, Leo turned around and said.
“That reminds me, when will you be done with your exploration of the state. There's a bus parked behind the restroom that will be taking us to school and will take off in the next 30 minutes.... that's what I want to inform you about since you ran out of the train like someone who was being chased by a hungry lion.” Leo walked out on Alina angrily after saying that. ..
Mara who was watching them from afar distance wasn't really sure of what they were saying, but she was certain that Leo was very mad at Alina...and she started rejoicing. “well that serves her right, she’s so nosy and annoying, I don't even like her.....and... She’s close with him, why does it have to be her... Wait a sec, did I just mention that she’s close to him?”
All of a sudden, an idea pop up in Mara’s mind that changed her expression into a mischievous one. “ I think I need to make this girl my friend since she seems to be very close to this guy. I will use her as my means to get close to him...”
Mara smirked and sat down quietly on a sit in the bus, thinking about how to make Alina her friend...
Alina who was so hurt by Leo's words...couldn't even raise her head up to look at him nor did she utter a single word......She picked up her bag and walked up straight to where the bus was parked....she entered the bus and sat down quietly.....
Inside the boss, Alina kept having flashbacks of what Leo had said to her earlier. Hot tears roll down from her eyes...... “what have I done to deserve all this insult from Leo, is it now a crime for someone to explore a new city...or could it be possible that he's still mad at me about what happened at the train station… This is the first time am seeing this side of him... I will apologies to him again later. after all, it was all my fault...”
Not quite long, Leo walked onto the bus with two bags of takeaway. He dropped one of the takeaways beside Alina and sat down quietly on his seat... He was expecting her to at least turn to see the food but Alina put her face across the window and made no reaction.
Leo had a sip of water as he couldn't eat the food he bought... He was inwardly disturbed. Leo kept starring at Alina. he was feeling guilty at how he treated her. “what has come over me, how could I have utter such bitter words to Alina. after all I know just how emotional she can be when she feels hurt……..
Leo could remember vividly how Mr .khan has personally asked him to take care of Alina....” oh no, I promise M. Khan to take care of her, how did I let my anger get the best of me. I need to apologize to her now before it's too late...
“Let me go and talk to her...she didn't even touch the food I bought for her, I will also make her eat, I know she must be very hungry now.” Leo was about going to talk to Alina.....when all of a sudden, the bus started moving...
“the boss has taken off, now I don't think it's the right time for me to apologize to her...I will just leave it when we get to the school examination center, I will talk to her then....”
As for Alina, she fell asleep earlier out of thinking....it seemed like she has a running temperature, there was this unusual sweat that crept on her face...
