Chapter 3: Training

You woke up abruptly from your dream about your sister's death. Speechless, you could only lay in shock and despair as tears cascaded down your cheeks. As the sun crept through the window curtains that morning, You pondered how the sun could shine so bright after a dream that was so dark and cold. If a rainbow could appear after a storm, surely you too can overcome and emerge from this tenebrosity.

The unpleasant dream was pushed away and thrown into a bin of unwanted memories. You couldn't let the emotions engulf you especially when you have an important training today. It was a test of courage, strength, determination, and intelligence. If you overcome this, then you're just a step away from getting revenge. That's right. Today was the extermination of titans.

Well, dummy titans to be specific.

After the squad leaders gave instructions, you went to your positions. The training then commenced. You launched the anchor of your 3D maneuver gear to one of the trees and glided through until you discovered a dummy titan. Taking out your blades, you slashed the nape of its neck, however, it was too shallow. If it was a real-life situation, the skin would've regenerated instantly and you would probably be tossed away.

"Ehhhhhhh" you groaned.

You then found another dummy. This time, you tightened your grip, clenched your teeth and dashed straight in. For maximum impact, you twirled a few meters before finally digging your blades into its neck and dragging it across to reveal a deep cut.

"YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSS!!!" You held up your hand high and showed a peace sign.

You then continued searching for another dummy when you found one in less than 10 seconds.

"Gotchaa'"

Before you could even dive in, someone dashed before your very eyes and snatched your prey. Your eyes widened in anger and hatred. You looked up to see a certain blue-haired guy. Familiarisation struck when you noticed the cold solemn eyes piercing straight back. You landed on a tree branch and faced him.

"You....YOU STOLE MY PREY!"

"Did not."

"THAT'S MINE!" You argued.

"Well, did it have your name on it?"

"Tch." You rolled your eyes in annoyance.

"f*****g bastard." You cursed.

"I have a name, bitch." He replied.

"I have a name too. My name's (f/n), (f/n) (l/n). "

"Tch. The name's Grim." He introduced himself.

"You know,, I'm still not satisfied with you. I'm surprised you could at least lay a finger on me. I was having so much fun beating you up until your precious little captain came to save you." He said.

"Save your breath, blueberry. I'm not here to have a conversation with you," you gave him a last glare before finally turning around.

As suddenly as he came, he appeared right in front of you, lunging his sword. Fortunately, your reflexes were quick and you managed to shield yourself with your blades.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" You yelled.

He pushed you away with his sword causing you to lose your balance and fall off the tree. You quickly launched your anchor on to on of the tree so that you'll land safely on the ground. As soon as you turned around, a sword was pointed to your face. You lowered yourself then kicked him in the legs so that he will not get up. He fell as he clutched his legs tightly, roaring in pain.

“You’re not so strong after all." You chuckled. You were about to find a dummy titan when he took his sword and stabbed your feet.

"ARGHHH" You could feel your blood flowing out soaking your socks.

You hold back the pain and took your sword slashing his thigh but its not that deep.He shut his eyes tightly enduring the pain. You ended of kicking him in the stomach with your other leg.

"Thats what you get for messing with me!" You launched your anchor and headed to the place where all the Scout Regiment members were gathered as the training was over.

You sat on the ground waiting for everyone to gather. You were the first one to reach there. You clutched your feet trying to stop the bleeding.

"What happened?" A voice appeared you turned around and realised it was Levi.

"N-nothing!"

"Tch, the same answer again? Nothing, nothing, nothing. Obviously, there's something wrong. Tchhh." He folded his arms. You lowered your head as you thought about what happened last night.

'Why....why did Levi-heichou......kissed me?......'You thought to yourself and immediately snap out of it as you felt someone taking off your boot. Levi then took off your sock that was soaked in blood and he made that disgusted face look.

"Hold on." He told you and went away.

A minute later, he came back with a first aid kit. He took a piece of cotton wool and applied rubbing alcohol to it. He slowly dapped it on your feet. You winced at the pain. After applying the rubbing alcohol, he took a bandage and wrapped your feet.

"You're lucky this injury isn't so serious."

"I'm surprised you know how to handle this. I've never seen you treating the others like this. In fact, you don't even seem to care." You said.

"Shut up." He said as he lifted you up by your arm as all the Scout Regiment members gathered.

"(Y/n) what happened?!" Armin gasped and rushed over.

"O-oh? This? This is nothing." You smiled.

"Nothing? NOTHING!? You're injured and you said this is nothing. (Y/N)!!" Armin frowned. You then chuckled when Mikasa approached you.

"What happened?" She looks worried.

"Oh.....well....uhm.......i got into a fight...and somehow that guy manage to stab me on the feet and yeah! But it doesn't matter!" You tried not to think about what happened.

"That guy?.. Was that the guy that beat you up during hand to hand combat?! HE IS SO GOING TO PAY!" Eren raged.

You chuckled at how angry Eren was. In your opinion, he looks cute when he is angry. Thats why you cant help but laugh. Its not like you like him or anything.

"Wha-what?" He asked. You shook your head and stopped laughing when Levi called you.

"(Y/n), my office, later." He walked away. He kinda looks mad and annoyed. Annoyed than ever before.

"Jeez, what has gotten in to him?" Eren frowned.

After the training ended, you headed to Levi's office when you walked past Grim. He shot the I-am-going-to-kill-you look at you before walking away.

You reached his office and before you could knock, Levi had already instructed you to come in.

'How the hell does he know I was already here? Smartass.' You thought to yourself.

"Yes,Levi-heichou?"

"Sit." He told you.

"Okay, I know that. I'm not your dog." You muttered under your breath but unfortunately, Levi heard you.

"You are my dog, bitch."

Your blood was boiling and you have this urge to smack him on the face. But instead you forced a smile.

"K." Was the only thing you replied him. He rolled his eyes and continued.

"What did Grim do to you?"

"Like I said! We got into a fight and then BAM! I got injured. Stop making such a big deal." You were clearly annoyed.

"Tch,brat. You must protect yourself, I can see your strong, you beat numerous people and still won. But, you're not strong enough to beat Grim. So, train yourself until you're capable of beating him. With that, I shall train you." Levi said.

"No thanks." You rejected as you didn't want to spend your time with Levi. Anyone but NOT LEVI.

"It's not an option."

"B-but."

"No buts! Tmr morning, at 6am. Meet me at the place where you did your hand to hand combat. "

"6AM?!!!?" You stood up from your seat in surprise. But then the pain in your feet struck you causing you to lose your balance and fall back to your chair. You sighed and nodded.

"Understood."

"Good. Now you may leave."

Before you headed out you faced Levi and asked," Why did you.....kissed me...last night." Silence filled the room for like ages! Levi finally spoke.

"That's none of your business. Now go back to your room."

"LEVI-HEICHOU! I'm not leaving until you answer me." You raised your voice a little.

"Is that how you speak to your captain?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Clean my office. I want it to be neat and tidy by 8pm. No dust, no dirty spots. Everything must be clean. I repeat, EVERYTHING!" You shot a glare before leaving the room.

"Stupid Heichou. I can't stand him!" You said as you staggered your way through your room due to your injury and laid down on your bed. You cuddled your pillow and soon drifted off to sleep.

You woke up and realised it was 7pm!

's**t! I STILL HAVEN'T CLEAN HIS OFFICE! You rushed to get all the cleaning equipments and rushed off to his office. You started off my cleaning the shelves, arranging the books, wiping the table then mop the floor. You finished everything just in time. The door then flung opened and Levi came in. He looked around then walk over to one spot to another, checking whether you missed a spot. He then wiped the table using only two of his fingers and discovered dirt on his hand.

"The table isn't wiped properly." He then looked over to the floor and discovered the corner of the room, not being clean.

"Dirt!" He then moves to the shelves and rubbed his fingers against the shelves and discovered dirt on it despite you wiping it several times.

"Dirt!" He approached you and faced you.

"Redo every single one of them AGAIN!" With that, he walked out of the room. You gave him the what-the-f**k face and redo everything again. After redoing everything, you looked at the clock and it was already 12 am.

"WHAAAAAAAT?" You shouted in surprise. "No wonder I feel sleepy." You rubbed your eyes and laid on the floor temporarily and suddenly drifted off to sleep.

**Levi's POV**

I entered the room and saw (y/n) laying on the floor. My eyes widen and I rushed over to her.

'Did she fainted?' I asked myself. I moved in closer when I heard snoring. I soon realised she was sleeping.

'She must be tired.' I stared at her and lifted her up to her room. I tucked her in her blanket. Just when I was about to leave,I could hear her murmuring. I couldn't make out the words because it was quite soft. I moved in closer to listen clearly when she suddenly hug me while crying.

"PLEASE! Don't leave me alone! I beg you." Tears rolled down from her eyes. (Y/n) was sleeptalking. I hugged her back tightly. I soon backed away as she fell asleep. I slowly moved closer to her and was about to kiss her but I stopped myself.

'No, I shouldn't be like this! I shouldn't be loving someone... I shouldn't!" I backed away and proceeded to my office.
