Chapter 6: The Battle Of Trost (part2)

**(Y/N)'s POV**

You were still separated from your teammates. At first, you wanted to search for them first but then you decided not to and continued to kill the titans until the civilians had evacuated. You slashed every titan that got in your way. You were pretty sure that you killed more than 10 titans. This lasted for more than 3 hours when suddenly a lightning bolt appeared while you were flying. You didn't know what happened but you continued it anyway. You were gliding over to one place to another when suddenly a titan appeared out of nowhere and caught you by its mouth. The lower part of your body was in the titan's mouth while the upper was still not eaten.Its teeth sank into your flesh causing you to cough out blood.

' NOT AGAIN!'

You struggled to escape but you know it was no use. Even if you manage to escape, your bones were already shattered. No use in escaping. Slowly

you could feel your bones shattering. Your flesh were ripped apart. You wanted to cry, you wanted to scream, you wanted to call for help, but you endured it. You recalled your sister being eaten and all the fun times you had with your friends. And your first kiss with Levi. The name Levi echoed in your head.

'Levi...Levi...... I can't believe i'm saying this but...... I... Love....You...' You thought to yourself.

"Goodbye, Levi." Those were your last words before you got eaten up by the titan. Everything then blackout.

**Levi's POV**

I heard that Eren loses control and went on a rampage. He even tried to attack Mikasa.

"Tch, that dickhead better snap out of it before I kill him," I said to myself as I glide from one building to the other searching for Eren.

After what seemed like an eternity searching for Eren, I finally found him. When I reached there, he stood up. I thought he was going to attack so I was on my position stance, but instead, he lifted the boulder with his strength. He was struggling but managed to lift it up. He headed to the hole where the wall was breached. Eren was walking towards the hole when a titan approached him. I was about to kill it when Rico appeared right in front of the titan.

"GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAYYYY!" She shouted in anger and stabbed its eyes, taking away its sight. It roared in pain. Mikasa made the second move and shot her anchor towards the titan's neck. She then cut off the nape of its neck. The titan's body collapsed and dissolves.

Eren was almost reaching the hole as Armin watches him walking.

"GO EREN!!!"He cheered for him as Eren pushed the boulder into the hole, covering up the hole.

"You're lucky I didn't end up killing you." I watched as Rico get on her knees and cried with tears of joy.

I couldn't hear what she was saying. She then shot a yellow flare towards the sky.

"Today, for the first time in forever, Humanity has defeated the titans." I sighed in relief.

"The remaining titans are coming! We have to climb the Wall." Rico instructed.

"I'll withdraw as soon as we get Eren out." Mikasa replied.

I look towards Eren's titan form. Armin was pulling Eren out from the neck. He was struggling. Seems like part of his body is still fuse with the titan. Rico took out her blades and chopped off the connection between Eren and the titan, that was holding him back. Armin and Eren dropped to the ground. He tried to wake Eren up when suddenly two titans approached them.

"f**k titans." I cursed and launched my anchor towards one on of the titans' neck and slashed it. I did the same thing with the other within seconds. My back was facing them when I heard Eren mumbling.

"W-wings of freedom?.."

After that, the Recon Corps and the Garrison's engineers came rushing in and Wall Rose was freed once again from the titans threat. It took an entire day to eliminate all the titans that were trapped in Trost. During that time, the fixed artillery was constantly spitting fire. While the high-explosive shells killed most of the titans, the Recon Corps mopped up the left overs. They even managed to capture two titans, a 4 meter titan and a 7 meter titan. Though it was mankind's first victory against the titans, far too many lives were paid in exchange.

Two days have passed since the hole was blocked and they were still collecting the corpses. We got permission to see Eren in the dungeon and waited for him to be conscious with Erwin by my side, sitting down while I leaned against the wall thinking about (y/n).

'Dammit (y/n), where are you? Two days have passed and I didn't even see you.Don't die on me, (y/n).' I thought to myself.

"What?"Erwin asked out of the blue.

"What?"

"What are you thinking about? You're staring into space. Obviously, you're not thinking about Eren or the titans."

"It's nothing." I avoided his eye contact.

"By any chance, are you thinking of (y/n)?" He raised his eyebrow and continued.

"I know you have feelings for her. The feeling of Love. I saw you the other day kissing her." He chuckled a little.

"Tch, that's why I heard a rustle. So you were the one who ruined the kiss huh?" I folded my arms.

"You haven't seen her for two days. Have you try checking whether she's dead or alive?"

"SHE'S ALIVE. I know it..." I clutched my hand.

"If thats what you say..."

I frowned and looked down.

'(Y/n), Live. Please.'

My thoughts were interrupted when suddenly Eren gain his consciousness.

"Do you have any questions?" Erwin asked Eren.

"Chief Erwin, the top leader of the Recon Corps and Captain Levi! Where am I?"He gasped as he looked around.

"As you can see, you're in the underground dungeon. You're currently in the custody of the Military Police, but we got permission to see you awhile ago." Erwin explained and showed the key that was tied to Eren's neck.

"That key......" His eyes widen.

"Yes, I know it's yours. I'll give it back to you later. The basement of your house, Dr Yeager's house in Shiganshina, holds the secret of the titans. Am I right?"

"Yes. Probably.That was what my father said."

"You have amnesia and your father is missing. Awfully convenient don't you think?" I said showing that I was annoyed.

"Levi. We've already concluded that he has no reasons to lie." Erwin darted his eyes towards me.

"There is still so much we don't know yet,but for now I think the most important thing to inquire is about your intentions."

"My...in-intentions?" He stammered.

"To return to your house, we must retake the Shiganshina District of Wall Maria. It would take drastic measures to seal the broken gate. We will need your titan strength. Our fate rides on a titan, it seems. The Colossal Titan, The Armored Titan, they are probably just like you. Your intentions are the key here. The key to freeing mankind from this despair." Erwin explained.

Eren stared into space for a few minutes. Just what is he thinking?

"Oii, answer the man, scum. What do you want to do?"

Eren looked up and faced us, grinning.

"I want to join the Recon Corps and kill as many titans as I can!"

"Oh, not bad. Very well then. Erwin, I'll take full responsibility of him. Tell that to the higher-ups. Don't get me wrong. It's not like I trust him. If he goes berserk or betray us, I will not hesitate to kill him. I accept your application for the Recon Corps." My eyes locked onto Eren's eyes.
