Chapter 13: Experiments

*Y/N's POV**

"YAHOOO! LET'S BEGIN." She skipped as she holds the clipboard in her hand.

Hanji and the rest stepped as far as they could away from you and Eren. You could feel a sea of anxiety curling in your stomach and your nerves tingling like as if it had been tickled by a feather.

'Everything is going to be fine, just as long as I don't berserk.' You gulped when suddenly Eren grabbed your hand and intertwine his fingers with yours. He gave you an assuring smile. You faintly smile back as Hanji fired the signal for the both of you to transform. You let go of his hand and took in a deep breath before wounding yourself. You then sink your teeth into your flesh while setting a goal in your head.

With a flash, you and Eren turned into a titan. Eren took titan form with the aim of hardening his body. Eren's titan form and yours were in the same size,15 meter class titan. But your appearance and his was different. You have an athletic appearance with lean muscle and no skin, similar to Annie's titan form. You have an ability to harden your skin while Eren could not. Eren's titan form has fleshless jaws and highly muscular build. Unlike you, he has skin covering him.

"Yoshi!! Now lets move on to the endurance and intelligence test. Follow after me!!" Hanji instructed. You nodded.

Hanji lifted her left foot and waved her left hand. You and Eren followed her. She then showed a peace sign which you and Eren followed too. After awhile she stopped.

"Ok good! Their consciousness is clearly there. Now I want you guys to repeat after me."

"Hellooo." Hanji said expecting you and Eren to repeat after her. You opened your mouth to speak but no words came out,same goes to Eren.

"Hmm. Perhaps the mouth structure isn't made for speech. Now follow me."Hanji led us the way and we discovered some logs and ropes.

"I want you guys to construct things using these." She pointed at them.

You and Eren made a house. In your titan form, you should be able to build a castle easily. Suddenly, Eren started howling and shouting trying to speak but no words came out. He took one of the logs and started scribbling some words down on the ground.

"I don't know what I can do in order to harden." He wrote on the ground. You were puzzled when all of a sudden Eren wrote again, " Father Had Me." You looked at Eren and he seemed pained.

After struggling, he exited the titan, probably of his own volition, as your eyes widened. He was barely conscious.

"Okay lets take a break!" Hanji shouted as she rushed towards Eren. You exited from your titan yourselves since you're capable of doing that without having someone to cut the nape of your neck to pull you out.

"Eren, are you okayy?" Mikasa asked as Eren faintly nodded.

"I'm glad." Mikasa smiled.

After a 30 minutes break, you and Eren take your titan form again, the second time. Eren still couldn't harden his body and what appeared was a titan 13 meter class titan while you appeared to be 18 meter class titan.

"WHATTTTT?Eren is a 13 meter class titan now? And (y/n) is 18 meter class. Eren gets smaller while (y/n) gets bigger. Hmm." Hanji placed her hand on her chin, thinking.

"Okay! Eren,(y/n), we'll start the intelligence test from the start. I want to che--" Before Hanji could finish her sentence, Eren started shouting and slamming his fist on the ground.

"What the hell?" Levi widened his eyes.

Eren started gobbling up the logs and the house you made. He seemed incredibly hungry. Eren rampaged for 10 long minutes. He was about to grab Armin when you came in between them and grab his hand. You pushed him away making him fall backwards. Soon, he ran out of energy and his titan form was released. Hanji and the rest sprinted towards him to get him out when suddenly you felt abit strange. You tried to step forward but your feet won't listen. You frowned and tried to move your hand but it didn't moved.

"s**t!!" All of a sudden your feet started to move on its own and you started sprinting towards the rest of them. You reached out your hand trying to grab one of them but they dodged in time.

'WHAT'S HAPPENING? WHY CAN'T I CONTROL MYSELF? WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? AND WHY...WHY DO I HAVE THIS URGE TO EAT THEM?'

Your hand started to move on its own when you forced your hand to stop moving. You tried to release your titan form but it didn't work.

'OH SHIT.'

"What's going on?!??" Mikasa stared in awe.

"I....i...I DONT KNOW." Hanji stammered.

"SOMEONE GET HER OUT!!" Armin panicked.

Levi shot his anchor towards your neck and cut it. He pulled you out with his strength. At first nothing happened but he pulled you again and you came out. Darkness then engulfed you.

Your eyes fluttered opened as the sunlight stabbed your eyes.

"H-how long did I pass out?" You rubbed your head and pushed your hair behind your ears. You were still outside with the others.

"20 minutes." Hanji replied.

"I see."

"We'll continue this tomorrow," Levi said.

"EHHHH?!?!?!?!? Bu-but b-but."

"Shut up,brat. Can't you see (y/n) is tired?!"

"I---"

"I'll do it!!" You interrupted their conversation. Hanji's eyes sparkled as a grin was plastered on her face.

"Whatt?!" Levi was surprised.

"I'll do it again. Eren, lets go." Eren nodded and went to his position.

"You sure you want to do this?" Levi asked as he stared at your (e/c) orbs.

"Yes."

"Okay then."

After Hanji signaled you, you bite your hand. You then transformed into a titan.

**Hanji's POV**

I gaped at (y/n)'s and Eren's size. (Y/N) was now 30 meter while Eren was not even close to 10m. Eren looked weak and his face was haggard while (y/n) looked so strong.

At first (y/n) stood there, not moving when suddenly she sprinted to us. I thought she wanted to tell us something when she swung her hand towards. We barely escaped and distanced ourselves away from her. Her (e/c) eyes were locked onto mine.

"SHE'S COMING!!" I warned the others as we sprinted away from her.

"Imma get her out!" Levi said without hesitating and glide towards her. His anchor sank into her neck, just when he was about to cut it, (y/n) pulled the wire that was connected to the 3D maneuver gear and threw Levi straight to the ground hard. Hard enough to break his bones.

"Captain Levi !!" Armin rushed towards him.

"Are you o--"

"Shut up,, I'm still able to get her out." He staggered towards (y/n) and once again launched his anchor to her neck.

He sank his blades on the nape of her neck and cut it. With that, her titan body fell to the ground and dissolves away as Levi pulled (y/n) out.

"She went on a rampage two times.... I don't think we should continue this." Armin said. I was disappointed but I had to agree with Armin. If we continue this any further, who knows what will happen to us, or what will happen to (y/n).

"....yeah.." I bitterly agreed.

**Y/N's POV**

-Flashback-

Never in your life have you talked to your parents. Not even once. Everytime you approached them, they'll always distance themselves away from you.But you didn't hate them, not even one bit. Afterall, they are your parents. You were only close with your sister and usually spend your time with her.

One morning, you woke up to the sound of something being dragged. You went downstairs and saw mom and dad dragging their luggage.

"Mother, Father ,where are you going?" You ran to your mother and hug her. You were really little and small at that point of time so you could only hug her by the thighs. That was the first time you ever hold your mother and speak to her.

" AHHH! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU MONSTER." With that she pushed you away. You lose your balance and fell on the ground backwards. Those were the first words she've ever spoken to you.

"Oka...san.." You didn't know why but you smiled despite being called a monster and being pushed to the ground.

'Okasan noticed me.' You thought to yourself as a smile plastered on your face.

"Otosan!! Where are you going?!" You excitedly ask him. You could see your dad flinched a little hearing your voice.

"Just.....get away from me......" He left the house with Okasan, leaving the puzzled you alone.

Those were father's first and last words.

**Levi's POV**

"No,,Iyaaaa,,IYAAAA!! OKASAN! OTOSAN! DONT LEAVE ME." (Y/n) screamed in her sleep.

"(Y/n)!!" I rushed towards her holding her that was tossing and turning around. Tears escaped from her eyes as I wiped them away.

'Father? Mother?'

I embraced her tightly and stroke her smooth long (h/c) hair when suddenly her eyes fluttered open.

"Levi......." She faintly called out my name. Tears started to form in her eyes and rolled down. She buried her face in my chest, letting everything out while she clutched on to me tightly.

"I don't know what happened but I can assure you that everything is going to be alright. Trust me." I kissed her forehead.

"Levi,,"

"Hm?"

"Thankyou.." She whispered.

A knock broke the moment and but I didn't care. I just want to hug (y/n) as long as I can, comfort her as much as I can.

"Ehhhhhhhhh Levi?" A familiar voice called my name.

'Not that shitty glass again.'

I spun around and saw Hanji smirking. She then faced (y/n).

"(Y/n), can I see you for a moment? Its regarding the experiment." She turned serious.

"S-sure." She stuttered.

**Y/N's POV**

Hanji led you to what seemed like her office. She sat opposite you and rested her hand on the table. Her notes and books were scattered everywhere.

"So (y/n)!!" She grabbed her notebook and pen.

" I was wondering, what were you aiming for when you wound yourself to transform into a titan?" She locked her eyes on you.

"Uhmmmmm let me see,, er. ... I dont remember." You scratched your head.

"Well---" Hanji's words were suddenly cut off by you.

"AH YES! The first time when I transformed into a titan, I was aiming to collect money so that I could buy someone a special gift since his birthday is nearing. I didn't think that would work, actually!"You giggled as Hanji writes on her notebook.

"How about the second and the third time?" She asked.

"Hmm, I took titan form with the aim of killing all the titans after what they did to my sister....and my friends..." You stared at the wooden floor, holding back your tears.

" I really want to kill all the titans so desperately. I'd do anything to kill the titans. Even it means my own life!" You clenched your fist.

"I see,, I'm so sorry for the lost of your sister and friends." Hanji said.

"I took titan form for the third time with the aim of finding my parents and why they hated me so much. I......... Really.....want to know why SO BADLY. They left me puzzled without any explanation just like that...just,, just why?" Unable to control your emotions, you broke down into tears, crying your heart out.

"EHHH (Y/N)!! D-DONT CRY!!" Hanji rushed towards you and pulled you into a tight embrace.

"(Y/n),, I know it must have been hard for you but you must stay strong! Alright? Seeing you in pain, seeing you cry, makes my heart ache. I can't stand watching you like this," She wiped the tears away and gave you the sweetest smile.

"Thanks." You smiled back.

"Alright! Would you mind if I tell you to transform into a titan just one last time?"

"Sure. Lets just hope I won't berserk." You agreed.

"Yeah and (y/n),, try to set a goal that you're less desperate to aim for." Hanji told you.

"Why?" You tilted your head in confusion.

"You'll see.Yoshi!! Lets goooooo!!!"

**Hanji's POV**

(Y/N) turned into a titan after biting her hand and stood there.

"Y/N,, Try lifting up your right hand!" I instructed and she followed.

"Hmm I see. Clearly, your consciousness is still there. Hah, just what I thought." I grinned widely when a someone smacked my head from the back.

"ARGH" I fall forward.

"What the hell are you doing?! Why are you telling her to transform into a titan?!?" Levi frowned.

"OH SHORTY!! I have to tell you something interesting that I just found out."

His eyebrows twitched hearing the word "shorty." Poor Levi. I just love calling him names. I guess its part of my hobby.

"This better be good."

"I've finally found out why she berserked and why she turned larger than before." A grin plastered on my face.
