The Supreme Witches

In this world, there are two types of people: magical beings and humans. The magical beings are aware of humans, but for their safety, they avoid making the humans aware of their existence. The humans had been destroyed by greed and almost wiped out the magical population, but they now prosper, now that humans are unaware that magical beings are all around. Beyond the dangers of humans, magical beings were also in danger from their creatures. Vampires and Werewolves have been fighting each other since they were created. For the most part, Dragons, Faes, and Griffins sided with Wolves, while Witches, Sirens, and Demons sided with Vampires. There is a legend among the magical beings about the first Good Witch Blair, the daughter of an Earth Witch. Blair was given a gift by the Moon Goddess for saving her daughter. The gift is unknown as Blair disappeared shortly after. She has not been seen in centuries. As the legend goes: Our fate is in her hands, Our safety, prosperity, and our land. The world we love and know, Will not be saved until the five show. The gift of Blair will save us now, Its power will show us the right way how. Our tale begins on October 31, 1517, in Hatfield Peverel, England. *Blair* "ARGH!" I panted between the pushes. Why did the Moon Goddess not tell me I would have to birth five children at once? "Just a few more pushes Blair," my friend and fellow Earth Witch Mary consoled me. I had already given life to four tiny baby girls, and the last one was on her way. When I returned from my meeting with the Moon Goddess, I told Mary first what the Moon Goddess offered me in exchange for saving her daughter's life, the most powerful witches in the world: The Supreme Witches. The Supreme Witches were known as legends among the magical beings, but the Moon Goddess assured me that they would save the world one day. She was hiding the children from my father, Satan, until she found a witch she knew would raise them to save the world. I trust my coven will help me to raise them until they are ready for this mission the Moon Goddess was worried about. The Supreme Witches are 5 witches consisting of one of each type of witch: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, and Spirit. The Moon Goddess said that I would raise the witches, but I never would have agreed if I had known I would have to carry all 5 to full term. The last nine months have been miserable and now I was experiencing the worst pain of my entire life. Just as I felt my body about to give up, I heard a tiny little cry fill the silent room. Mary lifts up the small baby and smiles. "You did amazing, Blair. All five babies are perfect. I'll go give her to Gwendolyn to get cleaned up." Mary stood and beckoned the young witch to the room. Mary helped me to wash up and dress comfortably before helping me back into bed. "Get rest, you'll need it, Blair." Mary left me to my own endeavors before I slipped into a deep sleep. Before I knew it, I was awake but in an unfamiliar area. It was a forest area, but there was a path following a shallow stream. I looked up and saw a light glowing down the path. I followed the light until I came across a familiar face. "Moon Goddess," I gasped, bowing lightly. The Moon Goddess's midnight black hair streamed down her back, sparkling with star-like gems throughout. A silver crown decorated with the moon cycle on top of her head emphasizes her beauty. Her deep blue gown glistened against the dimmed light, constellations are sewn across the fabric. Her blue eyes sparkled with speckles of gold and silver throughout. "Good Evening, Blair. Welcome to my Realm, the Dream Realm," the Moon Goddess assures me with a smile. "I can tell you are confused as to why I have called you here?" "I'm sure it has something to do with my daughters," I replied. "Yes, and congratulations. I'm sorry for not telling you that they needed to be born. I knew you would never agree otherwise," the Moon Goddess frowns and looks ashamed. "What has happened is in the past. I am very excited about waking up and raising my babies," I reassured her. "I am just coming to warn you, the girls will be much more powerful than your coven. They will be in danger if Satan finds them and the coven cannot protect them. You will need to leave the coven immediately if the girls are discovered. They will be our only hope if Satan unleashes his "Project Hellhounds". I am not certain of when this will happen, but when I know I will summon you back here to prepare the girls. I wish you the best of luck. Here's to hoping you never have to return. Goodbye, Blair." "Moon Goddess," I bow gently closing my eyes. When my eyes reopen I realize that I am back in my bed and that the sun is rising marking a new day. There is a cup of tea and a plate of peas and lentils sitting out for me to eat and drink. I quickly eat the food and drink the tea, before groaning while getting out of bed. As an Earth Witch I healed at a faster rate than humans, but after having 5 babies at once still was experiencing pain. I limped out of my room and down the hall towards the sounds of coos. I found Gwendolyn, Mary, and 3 other coven members holding the babies near cradles decorated in the symbols for the five elements. "Blair, what are you doing out of bed?" Mary whispered. "I want to see my children," I reply walking toward my daughter in the Earth-themed area. I took my daughter from the coven member and held my daughter in my arms for the first time. "We checked their wrists for their element mark and put them under their element to make it easier to identify them since you have yet to name them," Mary told me. "Oh, that's right. This one shall be called Abeline," I smile at my small child. "It means Land of Pasture. Avira means Spirit for our Spirit Witch. Aella means Whirlwind for our Wind Witch. Azar means Fire for our Fire Witch. Anahita means River for our Water Witch. Strong names fit for their strong gifts," I smile at my sleeping baby. "Those are beautiful names, Blair. Anne, can you sew the names into their blankets?" Mary asks looking at the witch who had been holding Abeline for me. Ann agrees, nodding and heading off, not before grabbing the beautifully designed blankets. "Blair, the girls will need names for out in public use. Those names will seem suspicious to King Henry if he discovers the babies," Mary reminds me. "Oh, you're right. The names they shall use will be their middle names. Abeline..." I thought long before I spoke. Although I knew exactly what I wanted to name each baby, I had not thought about what middle names they might have as I had not had one myself. But to keep my girls safe, they would need names for usage out in public. "Elizabeth," I somehow stumble out. "Abeline Elizabeth," I reassure myself. "Avira's middle name will be Catherine, and Azar's middle name Margaret. Aella Adelaide and Anahita Victoria as well," I state more confidently.
