chapter 1: RUN
The lightning clashed against the sky, the clouds completely blocking out the sun. With the world in darkness no people were in the once overly crowded park, no one except me and the inhuman thing that followed after me laughing demonically. It was tall with the look of a human but I could feel the darkness that surrounded it and the horror that it had caused. I dare not look back as I feared that if it saw my face there would be no hope for me to escape. With each thought swirling my head I didn't notice the small ditch until it was too late. As I fell the laughing got closer and slowly dimmed, as I smashed into the ground trying desperately not to fall into the open hands of unconsciousness a voice deep and as smooth as velvet thundered down at me,
“Giving up so soon?” It exclaimed, clearly amused. At that moment I thought that I would surely be a goner and so I decided to enjoy the heavy rain that drenched my body and mixed with the tears that now streamed my face, though the rain was cold it made me feel warm and safe as if a bubble was protecting me from the horror that was sure to come. This comfort filled me until the waiting hands that had been pulling at me finally won and I fell into the depths of unconsciousness.
