Episode1
He wasn’t one to waste time. He had killed men for far less and here in front of him was this pretty young thing who wanted his time and attention and had interrupted him to get it.
He was angry but intrigued and he wanted to see how far he could push her before she broke.
His father often said that he was more cruel then the hitmen he sent to take lives. Maybe that was true but he had also never even in love with a woman before.
His first romance was as a kid and she was the daughter of a rival g**g. He thought it was good sport and when he was done with her he discarded her like garbage.
He wasn’t a nice man, not a kind one either. Ladies who chose to spend time with him did so at their own peril. He was ruthless, rich as nails and handsome as Satan. He knew it and he also knew that this little thing in front of him was unaware of how much her life would change if he gave her the attention she desired.
Maria Preston was not new to the dangerous life. She knew the man who stood in front of her was a ruthless killer whose only joy was to make people pay for sins against his ego and pride. But she needed his help. She was an orphan with no parents and her landlord was threatening to evict her out of the only living space she called home. The house was owned by this tall, towering hunk of a man in front
of her so in spite of her better judgement, she faced the worst. What could he do to her that was worse than being homeless?
He would use and berate her if need be, but until she got what she needed, she wasn’t leaving.
Mariah was tougher than she looked. She was the last of four siblings and she grew up knowing that her good looks opened doors for her but she also had to fight men who saw her as easy prey.
. She didn’t mnd the chauvinism. It came with the territory. What irked her was men like Simon Bante who was the son of the richest Mafia Boss in the city, who owned all the short and long-term leased apartments in the whole city and could do whatever they wanted to poor folks like her.
That made her mad with rage.
She needed him to sign the document she held which would ensure they she could spend at least another six months on the property without eviction.
He looked at the young lady again. There was something in her eyes that intrigued him. A stubbornness and a resolute strength that said she wasn’t going to leave without a fight.
So be it. He would test that resolution. He would enjoy the process while he teased her with the possibility of signing her stupid document. How long would she last before she broke down completely under his seduction?
She would outlast him. Mariah made up her mind. She would win in this game he wanted to play.
She was not a quitter or a scared little mouse like the women he knew and toyed with.
“Simon Bante, you are a loser to my wit!”
