Chapter 5.2

Getting to Know the Princes (2 out of 2)

Archer’s P.o.V.

My friends and I walk to my room and go in. I am excited for her to see it on the day of our date. The walls of my room are pale red. The flooring is gray laminated wood. I have a king bed frame and desk in gray toned wood that matches the flooring. On the bed is a black and pale red bedspread. There is a fireplace with a TV over it and a couch in front of it. I am really hoping that she likes it.

At that moment a thought races through my mind, how will sharing her really work? I mean, we never imagined having to share a mate and I doubt that any of us want to go even a single night without her. I know that I don’t want too, at least. Let alone four nights straight. So, how will this work? Do we all have to share a bed? I mean, I don’t see another way, but that seems a little odd.

I collapse onto my bed as these thoughts circle around in my head. Just like Orion does before he lays down for a nap. I glance at my friends before looking back at the ceiling. “So, before we start talking about all of these dates that we have to plan……I just thought about something that is really important. How are we going to make sharing work?”

“I have been wondering that myself,” mutters Avalon grumpily.

Dean and Carter shrug uncertainly. Then Seth speaks. The lone voice of reason and thought ever. The male that always has the answers. “I have thought about it long and hard. Honestly, since we agreed to take her as our chosen mate. I am thinking that the best course of action is going to be that we build a house for ourselves and share a room between all six of us. None of us are going to want to sleep without her in bed, unless we really have to. I don’t see another way of making it work at all. Otherwise only one of us, maybe two of us, can ever mate and mark her. The issue is that we have all fallen in love with her already.”

We all sigh and then nod. We all know that Seth is right, this is the only way to make everything work and to make everyone happy. We are just going to have to grow up and share her and a bed. “Alright. Let’s get down to business now and get these dates sorted out. I am assuming we all have them planned for the most part. Right?”

Everyone nods in agreement. “Okay, I want to start then,” I say excitedly. “I want to take her to a private beach for the late morning and afternoon. Have a nice picnic with her. I am thinking since it is a beach day that we will have a fire and roast hotdogs over the fire. Maybe bring stuff to have smores. I want to make it a new experience and something that is special and memorable. So, I would love help finding a private beach that I can rent out that will have a reef, but I don’t know where that is.”

“So, I got a few things that I want to say before I get to the point of helping you, Archer. My main point is that we should all keep these first six dates within the Castle of the Kings island. We can keep dates in our territories for when we show her our territories at a later date,” Carter starts. “So, onto helping you, Archer. I know of a private beach, but it doesn’t have a reef on it. I don’t know of any close by that has reefs, but there is a beautiful private beach in Asmurg that has a gorgeous reef on it.

“My thoughts on the reef situation is that we all bring her to the reef when we visit Asmurg. Now, back to the rest of your date. The private beach I have in mind is at Long Lake. It is absolutely beautiful. Plus, it is only about thirty minutes from here by car.”

“Carter, you are a genius! It is a great idea! Thank you so much! And I do agree with the reef idea now that you mention the reef in Asmurg. Oh! I also want to do a painting class in the evening with her. I think she will love it,” I excitedly say. The other three nod their heads in agreement as they grin in excitement. “What do you have planned, Carter?”

“Well……I am thinking about taking her horseback riding through Lost Forest and taking her to the Lost Ruins. I want to take her there for a picnic and to explore for a bit. Afterwards or before doesn’t really matter to me, I am thinking of taking her to get her nails down. For the picnic, I am going to make some sandwiches, pack chips, and something sweet. Not completely sure what type of sweet thing yet though,” Carter murmurs. “I am going to speak to Kevin Hollis about borrowing some horses that day.”

“Dude, that sounds so romantic! Almost as romantic as the date that I am planning. I am determined to get the first kiss from her, so I need to make sure it is perfect,” Seth enthusiastically says. I roll my eyes at him. Stupid panthera prince is so competitive. “As for something sweet maybe do brownies!”

“Seth, two things. One, don’t be so cocky! Two, that is a good idea,” snaps Avalon in the begins of a snarl. “But you have now made me curious. What do you have planned?”

“I plan on taking Fawn to Wildflower Valley, which is only about an hour from the castle. I want to give her a relaxing day at the spa. Then to make it perfect give her a relaxing night under the stars. I am planning on having a tent, pillows, blankets, snacks, drinks, tables, a projector, a screen, and a generator all set up the night before. That way we can relax to a good movie or a good couple of movies. Maybe look at the stars or pick wildflowers. Anything she wants. I am debating on bringing out a telescope in case we want to get a closer look at the stars. I just want it to be perfect and romantic for her.”

We all look at him with our mouths hanging open. Like what the hell is wrong with him? Who the hell thinks of something like this? Why does he always have to outdo us? He does it without knowing our plans or even trying! I really don’t want to say this, but he is easily the most romantic of us and he is definitely getting that first kiss. f**k! Great Goddess, Seth!

“I am going before Seth. You are going to ruin my date, dude,” Dean growls at Seth with a glare. “I planned on taking her to a movie, a massage, and dinner. Now, what do I do?!?!”

“Still do it, Dean. I won’t do the massages during our spa day. So that won’t be ruined. Also, my dinner and movie night is vastly different than yours. Completely different experiences, my dude,” Seth tells him gently. “What movie are you thinking?”

“Megan 2.0 is playing in theaters still. I want to do a movie where she wants to cuddle with me. So, my thoughts are why not do a horror movie? She will want to be held and cuddled and protected. Plus, Thorn begged for me to choose that movie. He has the same thought process as me.” Dean is grinning ear to ear as he explains his and Thorn’s thought process. f*****g brilliant! Why can I never think of something like this? Ugh!

“Be very careful with that. She might not be able to sleep afterwards and then Fox has to deal with it afterwards.”

“I will be, Seth!”

“What are you thinking about doing for dinner?”

“I don’t know, Avalon. Either pasta or seafood. I am leaning towards pasta.”

“Then I will plan on taking her to a seafood place. I want to take her for dinner, roller skating, and shopping. I am planning on renting out the entire roller skating rink. I do need to really start talking to her, but I am nervous to tell her about myself and to let her in. So, I am hoping that by sharing my favorite activity with her that it will help. Plus, she is going to need my help roller skating. Also, then my darling and I can have some privacy.” Avalon smiles as he thinks about his date. Avalon actually smiled. SMILED! AVALON! The world has got to be ending for this to happen. He rarely ever smiles.

“You good over there, Avalon? You’re smiling over there,” I jokingly say.

“Yeah, I am. Jackal actually seems to like her and honestly so do I,” Avalon sighs as he thinks about her before continuing. “I never really thought that I would like her. Much less that Jackal would. Jackal hates everyone, including me. Yet here he is completely in love with her.”

We all laugh at him. We laugh harder, even Avalon, as Seth falls onto the floor due to laughing so hard. Eventually, Dean sobers up enough to talk. “Thorn is completely smitten with her as well.” He smiles at the thought. “He even threatened me about her.”

“At first, Atlas wanted nothing to do with her at first, but then we saw her, and everything changed in an instant. Plus, the more we learn about her the deeper in love we both are falling in love with her,” Carter chuckles.

“Major wants nothing more than to show her the world and to make her fall in love with us. All of us. He has accepted her completely as his mate and honestly……so have I. We both want her so desperately as our mate, and we will stop at nothing to make sure that it happens.” Seth looks down with a soft smile and excited eyes.

“Orion wants no one besides her at our side,” I simply add. Orion feels the same way as all of the others, so there is no point in adding anything more to it. “So, we need to figure out the order……”

“Dean first. Archer next. Avalon. Carter. Then me,” Seth murmurs. We all agree to the order and then start planning everything else.

Avalon’s P.o.V.

That evening, after spending all day planning our dates and planning the group date, we walk into the dining room to the strangest sight ever. Fox and Fawn are on the ground doing push-ups and both look utterly exhausted. To make it worse, their parents are sitting in their chairs watching them with smirks. “What the f**k is going on here,” I growl out my question as rage starts to burn within me.

“They are just doing push-ups since they pissed us off this morning,” King Sebastian casually replies like nothing is wrong at all with this picture.

“And how many have the young royals done,” Dean snarls aggressively. A low growl is starting to be audible from Jackal as he fights me for control. “You were told that there wasn’t supposed to be any more punishments while you are within our kingdoms.”

“They have only done roughly four thousand.” Jackal’s growl starts to grow in strength. s**t! “They have another six thousand to go. Stay out of this. It doesn’t concern you five at all.”

You promised me that this was going to be stopped, Avalon! Let me out right now! I will protect my mate! I will teach those parents of hers a lesson that they will never forget!

Let me deal with this. Please, Jackal. I promise you that I will protect our mate at all costs. And I plan to do exactly that. I step forward so that I am standing in front of the griffin king and queen. I stand with my back straight and my head held high. “I don’t care what you think they have done wrong. Or how many push-ups they still need to do. They are f*****g done with them. NOW!” I look down and notice that both of the young royals are shaking as they continue. “Fawn. Fox. Come with me and my friends please. We will order dinner to a room for the night.” I walked out of the dining room, hoping that they would follow me. Thankfully, both of them do.

I lead them up to their room and let them both and my friends in before I walk in and close the door behind me. Walking over to Fawn, I stopped right in front of her and tilted her head up so that she was looking at me. Goddess, my darling is so short. “Are you okay, My Darling?” She starts to nod her head, but I hold her head still. “Words.”

“Yes. We are both okay. Just exhausted,” she murmurs softly.

I nod my head and look over at Fox. “I don’t know what happened or anything at this moment. We can discuss that tomorrow, Fox. Right now, I just need to know if you got to go shopping today or not.”

“We did a little shopping online, but not much,” Fox mutters softly. “We will finish either tonight of tomorrow morning before her date or whenever we have time.”

I nod and start to speak, but Dean interrupts me. “I have ordered pizza up to this room for the seven of us tonight. But, Fawn, your first date is with me. Come to my room around 1 in the afternoon. I will have an outfit ready for you, so don’t stress about what to wear, Beautiful. We need to leave by 2 tomorrow, so you will have an hour to get ready.”

She nods her head and then I start to speak again. “Don’t leave this room without us please. Order food up here. Shift and go for a flight. Finish shopping online. Anything you want, but don’t open the door for anyone, but one of us. Keep it locked.” I continue to hold her face gently as I keep it tilted up towards me. I try to look at her with the softest and gentlest eyes possible. “Your dates go like this: Dean, Archer, me, Carter, and finally Seth. Would you two care to watch a movie with us tonight? We will make sure it isn’t scary.”

“Sure, Avalon. And thank you for making sure it isn’t scary tonight. We don’t want another sleepless night tonight. The movie terrified us both, but Fox hated it. Rarely anything terrifies a griffin, especially Fox, but that movie did.” Fox scowls down at her before grabbing a pillow and starts to beat her with it. My darling mate giggles and falls to the floor.

After ten minutes of watching them beat each other with pillows and laughing their heads off, we all settle down onto the bed with pizza. Archer decides to pick the movie for tonight and turns on IF. Ugh! A kid’s movie! But none the less, our little mate and her brother are smiling and laughing. So, we all sigh and settle down together to watch it.
