Jasmine noticed she was silent and began to worry, "Do you really care that much? I don't understand you fans at all. Ugh, if I had known, I wouldn't have introduced you. I forgot Vincenzo was caught up in rumors recently." Jasmine raised her voice, "You're almost fully recovered. When I heard Vincenzo was hiring, I thought it was perfect for hiring. You're so good at cooking, and it's a less hectic job, ideal for your current health. Plus, you'll have a stable place to stay, so I don't have to worry about you wandering after discharge!" Sierra retorted, "I won't wander! Just because I don't have a phone doesn't mean I can't find a place to stay." "A person without a phone is like a headless chicken. Are you going to look for rental ads on walls? If I didn't look out for you, who knows where you'd end up? You disappeared after graduation, and for nearly two years, I heard nothing. Then you called saying you almost died in a car accident and were in a coma. I almost thought you were an FBI agent!" Back when she graduated, Sierra was secretly pregnant and had to leave hurriedly. She didn't stay in touch with Jasmine, fearing she'd figure it out. Later, she had an accident before giving birth and was hospitalized for over a year. When she woke up, she contacted Jasmine but didn't dare to mention the pregnancy. If Jasmine knew, she wouldn't have been able to let her work for Vincenzo Esposito. "This is karma. I promise I won't disappear again." "Then stay and work there for a while, at least until you're healthier, okay?" "Okay," Sierra nodded, saying on the phone, "Don't worry about me. I'm just venting. Working at Vince's is a dream come true, haha. I already have a hundred breakfast ideas for tomorrow!" "Newbies are always so enthusiastic," Jasmine responded, like a mature older sister. Just as Sierra hung up, the phone rang again, making her nervous, thinking they had occupied the line too long. Remembering that the actor had taken Frankie upstairs to sleep, Sierra quickly answered the phone to avoid waking the baby. Not wanting to introduce herself as "Vincenzo Esposito's nanny," she simply asked, "Hello, who are you looking for?" "Huh? Did I dial the wrong number? How come there's a girl there... No, I didn't. Who are you?" The caller was a young man with a lively voice. "No, you didn't. I'm the new nanny here." "Oh, Vince hired someone new. Hi, I'm Vince's assistant, Rahul Sharma." "Hi, I'm Sierra. Are you looking for Vince?" "Since you're there, you can help. Vince has a flight at six tomorrow morning, and it's going to get very cold. Can you find his clothes, like coats and suits, and make sure he wears a jacket when he leaves?" Sierra immediately got serious and agreed. "Also, dig out some hand warmers and pack half a box. He's shooting in a high-altitude area; we don't want our star freezing. Make sure to wake him up early. I'll be there at six sharp." Sierra nodded diligently, "Got it." After hanging up, Sierra felt a bit lost-where would Vince's clothes and hand warmers be? As a nanny unfamiliar with the house, she felt very incompetent. Since she had time, she decided to find Vincenzo's closet and familiarize herself with the place. Sierra had taken care of children from busy families before, cooking two meals a day, but she had never seen such a high-end house. So where was the closet? She wandered around the first floor, getting dizzy. The designer did an excellent job; what looked like doors were often just cabinets, and some nondescript panels hid rooms. Sierra almost got lost in her employer's house on her first day. After finding no sign of a closet, she headed upstairs. Not finding it there either, Sierra guessed it might be in Vincenzo's bedroom. But which one was his? And what if Vincenzo and Ivanka were doing something private? She steeled herself and knocked on the largest door, which looked like a master bedroom. After several knocks with no answer, she tentatively turned the knob, and the door opened easily. Peeking inside, she asked softly, "Anyone here? Vince? Can I come in?" No response. Sierra peeked in and saw a man sleeping by the window. She had found Vincenzo's room. She shouldn't disturb him, but time was short, so she decided to quickly check if the things she needed were there. Leaving her slippers outside, she tiptoed in, looking around the spacious bedroom for the closet or wardrobe. Vincenzo was deeply asleep, but Sierra noticed Frankie, who had been sleeping on him, was awake. Sierra hesitated, wondering if she should sneak out or hide. Frankie, amused by Sierra's frozen stance, let out a joyful giggle. Startled, Sierra rushed over, almost sliding on the floor, and stopped in front of Frankie, putting a finger to her lips to signal silence. Frankie watched curiously, mimicking her with his tiny finger. He was so adorable that Sierra's heart melted. Frankie was about a year old, not yet speaking clearly, but already very smart. She noticed his delicate features, large bright eyes, and thick eyelashes, just like his father. He would grow up to be very handsome. Sierra envied the child's good looks, contrasting with her own dull hair. The father and daughter lay on the wide window seat, bathed in soft sunlight. Frankie on Vincenzo's stomach, the young father had fallen asleep while putting his daughter to sleep, his hand protectively on her. Sierra glanced at him. Even in his sleep, the young actor's sharp features softened considerably. His skin was clear and smooth, without a flaw. His eyelids were gently closed, revealing a refined eye shape. His eyebrows and nose had perfectly defined lines, with a high, narrow nose that added to his distinguished looks. Even asleep, he was difficult to gaze at for long. Frankie was different. She was completely awake, lying on her father's stomach, and eagerly began playing with her. Since Frankie couldn't move, Sierra gestured to her, hoping she would understand. Frankie grew more excited, reaching out repeatedly for Sierra to hold her. Sierra, alarmed, waved her hands in refusal, but Frankie was already trying to leap onto her. With no other option and fearing Vincenzo would wake up, Sierra had to catch Frankie and lift her by her armpits. Looking up, she met the actor's intense black eyes.
